idk I thought Magneto or Doom is more obvious than Charles tbf...

Bastion.

Just make him Kang... or Beyonder....

A Kang variant would be my guess.

Have they recast Kang? Or are we just going to wake up and find out that phase was all a dream?

Was gonna ask that too! That sketch had me (and everyone in it but Kenan) cracking up. Punky couldn’t even hold it together before coming in.

You die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the establishment - also see Bill Maher.

Same! “NO ONE HELP HER!”

imagine being such a try hard that you accidentally goad other comanies into showcasing that their products are better than yours

There’s a tendency to treat hateful Star Wars fans as something that only exploded after Last Jedi, but they’ve been around for much longer than that, and all you have to do is look at the comments sections for pre-social media fansites. Back in 1998, when Lucasfilm announced that the official title for the new movie

Calling the fans that bullied Best “adults” is a stretch. More like Welcome to Eltingville characters made flesh. I’m sure plenty of them were over the age of majority, but at least one reasonable distinction between children and adults is that adults are able to separate reality from fiction.

Part of the appeal of the MCU up to Endgame was that it really did feel like a connected universe, even if GotG, Captain Marvel, et al were off doing stuff on other planets. Ever since the introduction of time travel, multiverses, etc. a lot of those connections can be handwaved away. Which is to say, I am looking

Agreed. The X-Men suits, in particular, needed the trial and error of 20+ years for this Wolverine suit to work.

I do want to remind everyone that if you take LOGAN as the definitive end of the version of Wolverine that Jackman started playing in 2000 and not as a “What If/The End” style story that means that the FOX X-Men universe ends with:

- The humans successfully doing a mutant genocide.
- All the X-Men dead after Professor X

Why do I feel like this is more about Feige losing his power at Marvel. With everyone bored and rejecting the last years of marvel content it seems like Levy and Reynolds could come in and bring things back to life by shirking all the tradition set up for the past decades.

As said in another thread the Jim Lee costumes would not translate well to live action 100% (see Wolverine’s pirate boots) and going in the direction they did with the first three movies was the right call, however, there should have been a little more slash of color on the costumes to make them stand out. They got

Yup if this were say a fatal attractions adaptation I’d say recast. I consider DP3  post credits scene for the character’s arc.

I recently finally watched the Rise/Dawn/War trilogy and really liked it. I’m a little disappointed they gave this one to the guy who directed the Maze Runner movies. Still hoping for the best.

I get his hesitation, but Empire of the Planet of the Apes is 100% a better title and differentiates it from the first three movies (which already have a pretty big problem with titles that feel the same)

As boneheaded as the idea to change that scene originally was, from where we are today I do appreciate things like this card that sort of passive aggressively try to pull us back to the original exchange. As James points out, Greedo is miliseconds away from Han’s blaster bolt killing him while his own blaster bolt
