Right, I watched the interview with Spike - it was pretty awkward and all that but nice to see them together again. I wish I could have seen them live back in the day...but I absolutely never want them to reunite if they don’t want to, and I don’t see why they have to for any reason. People do this same shit with REM

You never know with reunions. When Pavement first got back together in 2010, it looked like a pure money grab. Stephen Malkmus couldn’t have looked less interested and some band members were actively cursing at eacho ther during songs. Fast forward a decade to the next reunion, and everyone seemed to be having a grand

Can we at least agree that for any perceived problems with the sequels, the human being known as Daisy Ridley isn’t one of them.

This would be fine as a two-part arc on a show.

we can’t deny that what the actor is pitching doesn’t have a certain appeal

Now can we get Patel in Peele's next film, please?

I am going to assume that before working in the fight club Dev Patel’s character looked like Squidward and was gradually beaten beautiful,

As an Indian who lived in Mumbai, it isn’t weird at all. Most do speak it, maybe not as fluently but well enough.

There’s never going to be a more fitting time to share that I went to see Lion with a female friend, and when Patel first surfaced from swimming in the ocean as an adult, looking for all the world like Adonis, my friend and I concurred that his full name is Devinitelygonnahitthat Patel.

‘”The trailer looks very good, although for some reason, everyone speaking in English bothers me. Specially with the film being set in India with Indian characters. Other than that, it looks slick.”’

“We need a white guy who’s mere presence suggests that everything has gone completely to hell and that our main character has made terrible choices, can the casting director get someone like that?”

Rewatching The Green Knight has become a holiday tradition for me.  Enhanced by certain...holiday treats.

The first episode of Echo has a big action scene that very much feels like a part of that show in style and execution. And D’Onofrio is still the same Fisk.

It's possible.  Echo felt like the Netflix shows in tone and brutality.  I really liked it.

Top. Men.

There are some posters in this thread that are really triggered by having anyone other than a white, straight, non-disabled male as the protagonist.

Look at Cillian Murphy - he’s supposedly 5'7" but I saw him once and I swear he’s shorter than that. And all my friends and I have been crushing on him since 21 Days Later.

Hoping this will result in, finally, an “8HU” - “Eighties Health Universe” series of movies. While the origin stories will be engrossing, it’s the teamup/battle sequels I look forward to. With Simmons as the anchor “Iron Man,” we can soon expect Tony Little’s “Thor” vibe. Let’s hope they get the Jane Fonda pic out

Richard Simmons ought to play Pauly Shore in a Pauly Shore biopic.

I don’t see any resemblance. I don’t know much about PS except that he’s said to be quite an asshole and, as time passes, that can leave marks on a person. Simmons, on the other hand - despite the sorrows he’s experienced - truly did want to raise people up. That takes a lot of heart and watching some angry bully play
