I actually watched it recently. It's up there with the best new-Who episodes.

Oh bravo :)

I recently read that Midnight had been a good episode so I went and watched it and yeah, it's really good - but mostly I think it's because it features minimal Catherine Tate.

I think the working-class accent is her real one and she puts on the posh accent to work with the posh family. When the ice-bitch attacked it was noted that she slipped into her natural voice.

Yes and yes.

The Rose & Crown is not an uncommon name for a British pub, (There are 326 of them according to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pub_names#Most_common), but then there must be a reason they didn't go with The Red Lion or The Royal Oak. I think it's just a nice shout-out to a previous companion as they introduce a new

>Why Clara Oswin Oswald? Why the three names?

The 'don't think about the snowmen' bit did remind me of the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.

That's what I like about DW; if you don't like a Doctor or a companion or a showrunner you can just wait for the next one. I skipped all of the Catherine Tate episodes as she just gets on my nerves, and I don't feel I missed out on anything.

I found the opposite in my Lego box recently. I named him Amuteethreepio

Neil Marshall directed that episode, and he's got some great genre fare under his belt. Check out his directorial debut Dog Soldiers; squaddies v werewolves in the Scottish highlands.

I came here to say that too.

If the sequel to Alien was Aliens, will the sequel to Prometheus be Prometheuses?

On macs it's ctrl. I use this all the time.

A Doctor Who episode set in contemporary London? Whatever will they think of next!?

That's Monat Graatut's home :)

Cool, thanks.

> And fans of the famous Doctor Who theme tune needn't worry… This new arrangement remains true to the original, written by Ron Grainer back in 1963, but on Christmas Day you'll hear it as it's never sounded before.

Sucks to be Madagascar.
