I was just at a Bills game and they scan you with a metal detector, so that's why I was surprised that a metal-looking smoke bomb would get into a stadium. Do they not use metal detectors at soccer games? Or are they plastic flares?

Has anyone been to one of these games? Are there any searches at the gates? I'm always amazed when I see flares in European stadiums, especially in England where I thought they took a hard line on fan behavior after Hillsborough. You can't even bring a water bottle into a NFL game, let alone a soup-can-sized flare.

I think just banning liquor in the parking lot would help a lot. I can drink a lot of beer and be well in control, but drinking liquor before noon turns me into a crazy person.

It definitely depends where you live. In Rochester, there are probably 10 places within a few miles of my house where I can stop in and grab a fresh slice- which is the thing you don't usually get from a chain. I almost never buy a whole pizza, and big slices from a local pizzeria are more filling and better tasting…

The quality of snowplowing really makes a huge difference. I live in Rochester, NY, and unless it is that once-a-season massive blizzard, you can pretty much count on the roads being pretty clear within a few hours. Even in the biggest blizzards, a healthy dose of salt takes care of the snow in a day or so.
