PS4/XB1 (or PS3/XB360) plus a good force feedback steering wheel. Learn the basics, cut your teeth, to some track days with SCCA (not super expensive).

I understand why it's legal. I have a Michigan CPL and I have friends that carry in Minnesota and some other states. I'm going to take the new IL CCW and Utah non-resident, so we'll see what the instructors say for that. I'm pretty confident that the general consensus is not to open carry though.

It is kind of expensive but with how much people spend on crate engines anyway, not bad. The nice thing about this is that it comes with a warranty and while they may have had their problems in the past, GM powertrain knows their shit now.

You are correct, the presumption is that your life is in danger as soon as your home is invaded.

We talked about this in my CPL class. My instructor's view (and mine as well) was not to advertise that you've got a several hundred dollar piece of hardware on you. It may make you more of a target.

So the idea behind Castle Law (Castle Doctrine) is that if someone breaks into your house, your life is considered to be in immediate danger and are therefore are allowed to use lethal force to defend yourself (and your property.) It tends to vary from state to state whether the person has to cross the threshold or

I feel like a C3 Corvette would be perfect for a batshit crazy 2 stroke V8:

I kind of like these video game racing challenges. The simulations are close enough to real life that the skills carryover but the cost of entry is affordable and the game system keeps everyone on an even playing field. This is a real way to get in on talent instead of having to buy your way in as has become so common

Michigan has "Castle Law" which means that if someone is trespassing on your property and threatens your life, you are within your rights to shoot and kill them.

Nokian makes awesome snow tires. Literally, the best on the market.

Are you a left hand mouser?

Is it wrong that I'm disappointed by how many of them were wearing shirts? I feel like a prerequisite for doing something dumb with a tractor is a lack of a shirt.

I see where you're going with this. Personally I like the idea of experimental drug testing but there is the off chance we'd give one of them superpowers.

Sociopath. He says what the TV crews want to hear (or what he thinks they want to hear) meanwhile, he manipulates his victim because she is only a liability to him. No remorse, no empathy, no feeling that other human beings are anything other than toys to be played with and thrown away once they are no longer useful.

Learn something new every day.

I was kind of wondering that myself. The linked article says that the co-pilot was Ethiopian (a bit confusing since Jamie Condliffe left that part out) but I would assume one European would be as good as the next when requesting asylum.

Good read.

Thanks. Yeah, I double checked after I posted, very confusing.

So now I'll elaborate more on this news, which comes from the January 25th issue of The Economist, which I read on the plane a few weeks back and then forgot about until I rooted around in my briefcase just a few minutes ago.
