I don’t think of a gyro as a sandwich.

Right. Chopping up spaghetti doesn’t make it couscous.

Spanish and Italian people might actually be too tan for a lot of these fucks. To fellas like these representatives of the Noe (more like NO) family, Spanish is another word for Mexican.

My first ever “real” concert was at the Rave and even at just barely 15, I could tell the sound quality sucked. Tried a few more times and at this point I just won’t go back. If an artist I want to see is playing the Rave, they’re almost certainly playing somewhere in Madison or Chicago. The drive or train ride is

It gets so much worse! I don’t know if this is true everywhere, but in my state, schools count enrollment on the third Friday in September. The enrollment count is used to allocate funding based on the number of students. This includes things like increased funding for students who have been identified as having

Do you have any foodservice experience? Waiting tables can make you some quick money (and you usually get to take it home with you rather than waiting for a paycheck). Every place I’ve worked has been hiring basically constantly and I’m told this is true pretty much everywhere due to super low unemployment.

I think it’s the “medium carbonated” that throws me. LaCroix is more aggressively bubbly, and that’s what I’m used to. It still has some fizz left when you’re done drinking it, while Bubly seems almost entirely flat by the bottom of the can. And it’s terrible for making a wine spritzer, where the bubbles almost

It’s good and I don’t even think it’s THAT lightly flavored. Most of my favorite flavors (passionfruit, apricot, mango, grapefruit) are quite tangy.

Coco Cola bought them so expect to be seeing more of it everywhere.

I’m a bit of a LaCroix stan, but those “Curate” flavors that they sell in the tall cans in 8 packs taste like fucking Lipsmackers. No thanks.

So many people wondered “LaCroix is getting so successful, why don’t they update that dreadful 90s era can design?”

Because they knew. They always knew. They can get cute with that curate shit, but the classics will endure, as they have for decades.

YES! The passionfruit flavor is my favorite. I usually buy Kroger brand seltzer because it’s almost half the price, but sometimes I just gotta have that passionfruit. The mango is second fave. I am a seltzer lover and have tried almost every kind easily available to me in my particular region, and none seem to compete

Bubly is Pespi’s entry into the market, I believe. It is, ironically, a lot less bubbly than LaCroix. Every can I’ve tried tasted a bit flat, to me.

Apparently mountain bikers like to cut illegal trails because the sanctioned trails aren’t “rad” enough and this practice is responsible for getting a lot of people lost and sometimes dead. It’s not a bad idea to have a jacket, snack, and some water on a hike even if you think it’s not going to be a long one.

I recall him talking about going to his GoT audition with a black eye because he’d gotten into some fisticuffs with someone at a McDonalds the night before. Not the behavior of a sober person.

I think a lot of people are missing this point. All the comments on this story act like she was backpacking. As far as I can tell, she went on what was supposed to be a three mile walk, on a largely inhabited island. Very routine, no big deal. Certainly no reason to feel like she was going on the type of expedition

From the late, great Mitch Hedberg: “They don’t want to eat the fish, they just want to make it late for something.”

I generally never endorse listening to Jordan Peterson, but at least he’s telling his misogynist fuckwad followers to clean their rooms...

Thankfully my husband has virtually no aesthetic opinions whatsoever. I can do absolutely whatever I want in terms of decorating and he does not care a bit. I still run things by him because it seems like the right thing to do, but he just says “okay.”

My favorite thing to drink with a meal is water. Having booze with my dinner always makes me feel heavy and tired. I do love using wine in my cooking, though.
