To be fair, he never calls it 1:1 himself in the video, that’s Luke’s hyperbole.

Now this is a remaster that I’m legitimately excited for. FFXII was the one FF that I enjoyed on a strictly mechanical level. I couldn’t tell you a thing about the story after all these years, but the Gambit System they had in place was a blast to play around with.
I didn’t until this comment. You’re right, now I do feel old.
You’d have to pry the Estwing out of my cold, dead hand...
FFXIV is that game that I love for three weeks to a month at a time, then move on from. Twice now I’ve started fresh, gotten to the point of opening up airship travel, where you have to act as courier to the two other city-states, then... bleh. It’s at that point that the grind reveals itself in full and I just can’t…
Holy shit, could you be any more condescending? I played Ingress for months, but I live in a small town and the local community was shitty, I quit playing after a teammate started directing the other side to my guardians for no reason but the lols.
This is sounding more and more like Ingress, which makes sense, but I’m also losing interest at the same rate.
They were acquired by a Chinese company, but they’re still based in Japan. They themselves are not a “Chinese” company.
I’m okay with part of that scenario.
I envy you to no end, at “only” 35 I feel like I’m 70.
Holy fuck, I might be the last person not on the Rick and Morty train, but if that’s any indication of the level of humor involved I am definitely getting on.
Original actor?
I understand that it isn’t a “directed” project, that the whole point is putting their spin on things, but the Pokemon video just seemed to ebb and flow better. A happy accident, I suppose.
He’s credited as Aeron Greyjoy, so yeah.
Not as successful as the Pokemon intro, imo. It starts out with some silly jokes and references, but then plays it more or less straight, while the Pokemon intro sprinkled gags through the whole video.
