Porsche 911R. They did things like mold epoxy door handles and painted them to look like the metal ones. Regular lights were too heavy so put in tiny ones in a plastic surround. Everything was either dipped, drilled or made thinner. Of course Porsche also made the 917 FRAME out of magnesium to save weight. Because,

It should be noted that Porsche owns Nardo. Porsche is owned by VAG (which is in turned owned by Porsche...).

the only option you want on this is the club sport package and the 918 seats. Both of which are probably multiple thousand $$ options...

You left out the BEST. Targa Florio. How I don't know. But you did...

Sure lots of us buy that low mileage example of something interesting that depreciation has killed and then live in relative safety. Then one day you look down and see the odometer which you haven't really looked at in a while and then mentally do the math in your head. "Hmmm you say, I bought it with 48k on it when

The Audi 4.2 V8. The first Audi to use a V8 (well the early ones had a 3.7 instead of the 4.2). The car won the DTM in '90 &'91. You could buy (and I know my father had one for years) a 4.2 with a factory six speed stick. Looking like a wider 100 or 200 it blended into the crowd but was one of the best cars on the

The D is long, did you have to move it in and out of the garage a few times before it fit all the way in?

And then 10-20 years later look back fondly at some of the best and most exciting racing ever. Can-Am costs out of control = AMAZING

The 3.7 liter engine is so they can do the usual BMW/Mercedes rounding up of their badges.

And then those rich guys can say "But I want MY car to win so I'll hire a professional driver." Weeks later everyone tries to on-up each other and...BOOM the series we all actually want with skilled drivers and the fastest production based cars on the planet racing against each other.

Outrageous tuner cars from the '80's & '90's should be the next one. Gemballa, Koenig etc...

Maybe the Fighter T with the 1,016hp turbo Viper V10.

The BEST is the Jag XJ-15

991 GTS not Cayman GTS (sorry for the confusion). The PDK on the track is good for a car length+ per shift on the track all other things being equal.

Yup. Manual, 380 hp, track tuned suspension, a fair bit lighter... I've been told it will be slower than a GTS PDK with -20mm suspension around the track only because of the manual. But probably a whole lot more fun! The manual means no 4 wheel steering as well.

Yeah but the GT3RS Model in launch lava orange has been seen for months! We've seen the thing in real life, just put it out there already! Having the GT4 and GT3RS both launch in Geneva is overkill. They should have done one in front of the other.

It isn't a GT3RS OR a Cayman GT4 (or if hell HAD frozen over a 960 to compete with the 458) so it is Terrible, Wasteful use of my time. Come ON Porsche gives us what we've ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!

Still prettier than anything MB has made in decades though.

Anti-lock brakes will make me stop faster.
