It’s too bad the community day lined up with a heat wave. PoGo was lucky they’d just decided to switch to 4-7pm for the cooler temperatures. I didn’t meet anyone playing PoGo until they introduced raids, because everyone knew to look for the egg countdowns and show up when it hatched. With fortresses, you can see that

I’ve found it far less buggy than PoGo at launch, and I haven’t noticed it taking more battery than PoGo either (though it does eat up more data). It’s a shame they don’t have Adventure Sync, but PoGo survived 2.5 years without it. They definitely made mistakes at launch, like making money seem necessary far too early.

Or, better yet, “descendants.” ;)

Well, I was thinking that 2008 shouldn’t seem that long ago for him, because he’s 50. But then it occurred to me that his daughters might have been born since 2008 (not sure how old they are, but the oldest looks like she could have been born around then).

I know they were fictional lions, but The Lion King always seemed like bullshit, in that a whole bunch of lionesses, at least one of whom (Nala) could outmaneuver Simba in a fight, was helpless as the relative weakling Scar turned their kingdom into a wasteland. Somehow Simba was needed to save them. I wonder if the

I read an article that said the embryos they were supposed to have had implanted were both female, but after multiple ultrasounds told them they were having boys, they called the clinic to ask what was going on. But the clinic assured them that they were going to have girls! So the clinic may not have known, but at

She’s setting a bar for what counts as “torture” conveniently right underneath what her father experienced. You know, some people have had body parts cut off as part of their torture. Should they say, “Well, John McCain didn’t really get tortured because he got to keep all his fingers!”? It’s astonishingly stupid.

Rather, “male” and “female” are more general than “man” and “woman,” which is why the police use them. It’s a simpler designation, because they don’t have to worry about whether to use girl or woman, boy or man. But it’s also so general that it sounds like they could even be talking about cats or sheep or whatever,

Simba, being brave doesn’t mean you go looking for trouble.

I can’t, I can’t. 20 years is still too soon. *cries thinking about them*

This was hardly an attempt at a full reinvention, but it was a small, failed attempt at something that remains a mystery to me to this day. See, I was never a cool kid—a total nerd, geek, and dork—always behind current styles. In middle school, my social goal was simply to keep my head down and not stand out.

He may be doing it to avoid appearances of impropriety, or to ensure others’ comfort. But underlying those theories is the assumption that he would put his hands on these people were it not for one of those decent reasons not to do so. Is it too crazy to think that maybe he just doesn’t want to put his hands on other

My partner and I are opposite in that regard. I’m happy to have clutter neatly arranged on counters and tables, or even on an unused chair. He doesn’t clean regularly, but occasionally a switch flips in his head and he has to make it all disappear. He starts asking me, “Can I throw this out? Looks like junk mail. Can

“Nothing is more precious to any of us than the heartbeat.”

I read that it’s only health care providers that are required to cremate or bury fetal remains. So someone who has a miscarriage at home has no added obligations, and a health provider could release remains to the patient who can then do whatever they want with them. It’s still a ridiculous law, and a small but
