I won't try to deny that you're the toughest tough guy hard man around, but ranching isn't as much of a sheltered occupation as you might think. People who deal with scared 1200+ lb animals for a living may have experienced pain before.

I find that most people with this viewpoint (which they're entitled to) have never been within 50 feet of a live cow/bull/calf/steer. I'm not going to highlight your selective hypocrisy, you already did that, but I'll assure these are not bad people. Different that you, sure. Bad, absolutely not. And believe me, these people know about pain. In fact, part of their acceptance of this practice comes from their own tolerance and experience with pain.
