We returned our two 64gb iPhone 5s phones in lieu of Galaxy S4's this round. A 16gb iPhone is just too small for storage in my opinion, with 32gb being the minimum size I could live with. Yes, I could have purchased 2 32gb iPhone 5c's for $199 (this was before the price drops) but I just could not 'settle' for a

I am still with my iPhone 4 (I had the 1, 2 & 3)... Its brushed aluminum and glass in still pristine after many years... Every 5 series i have seen has ugly scuffs and chips around the edges... they don't seem to wear very well... I guess Apple decided that the 4 was made a bit too well and decided to engineer in a

Marty!!!! You got to watch this new movie called Top Gun....I just saw it in Gizmodo !! Whaddya mean it's 2013 ? Damn ! Wrong year !

Hells yes. ".....To her it's dirty"
Bob is the best in that movie.

ICEMAN

I fell for the click bait. I was thinking "No way Gizmodo actually just put an article up recommending people watch Top Gun."

Let's get a reminder to watch Star Wars next.

I saw it on the big screen when it came out and it was great, but it doesn't stand up to repeat viewings on the small screen. The logical lapses and clunky acting really start to add up. Why does Cruise have to rush off from his graduation to go out to a carrier in the middle of a situation? Did that carrier's other

Exactly, the ad fails because it's like, oh give the kid a break, he may seem sullen and detached but he's actually making something beautiful for you, Hysterical Aunt, and won't you feel bad then. But he's still using the phone to escape. I used to make tons of videos documenting family gatherings with my Sony

when someone attempts to position for a portrait recording. there should be a big NO as seen here until those people realize how to property record video

Would it not be so much easier if the phone simply recorded the video in landscape, no matter what position the phone is? Because, I don't know, WHO would want a portrait video in 1080x1920p?

Forget family gatherings, I can't go to the bar with my friends without half of them spending every other minute with their face in their phone.

If you're a parent who wants your child to be present and engaged in face to face conversations and to participate in social interaction, don't buy them a tiny expensive computer. They really don't need one.

That's another good way of looking at it.

I just want to point out, that while this needs to spread a lot more, looking at a portrait video on a portrait oriented phone is perfectly fine. Just don't let the video touch YouTube!

I was going to write about this on Whitenoise but ended up not bothering.

Holden didn't hate life, just all the phonies! Like this Apple ad, for instance.

What a terrible ad!
