the old one is fine and I haven't cleaned it in two years

"Funny, now that I'm not hurting from debt I don't feel like spending money on things."
Exactly how I feel! I don't think I've turned into a complete cheapskate, but I just don't spend money as freely as I did.
For example, it was too easy to go to Starbucks every single day, or buy my lunch more often than not.

My boyfriend is paying of credit card debt right now. Every time his therapist insists that he needs to set aside a budget for "fun money" every month, I want to strangle her. He doesn't get the luxury of fun money - he's in debt, he's already had his fun!

Other ideas:

Yes if you have a rap sheet that means everything you do from that point forward is illegal and you are no longer capable of being the victim of crime. Strong take from a strong brain.

n****s maybe?

Can't believe this one didn't get a shout out.

Also you should try this with some of the harsher barley wines... Avery's Hog Heaven isnt that harsh for the style, but after aging a bottle for about 2.5-3 years in the outside fridge - all of the flavors really blended together and kinds "softened up."

Was one of my favorite pours - and I am not particularly fond of

Aging a beer will not measurably increase its ABV.

If there was enough sugar to ferment to raise the % even remotely considerably - the bottle would explode after the beer was saturated with CO2 ("fully carbonated/conditioned").

Scale seems a bit off on this.

There's really no comparison betwenn the Chimay and the Utopias.

If you're a fan of Chimay, they've advised a new Trappist brewery (only the ninth in the world and the first in the USA) at the Trappist Abbey in Spencer, MA where they also make preserves. There have been several articles recently, but this link actually gives you a nice view of the Abbey chapel.

Obligatory not working remark.

Chimay Grande Reserve is incredible and I'm fortunate enough to have a beer bar a block from me that ages their bottles before releasing them. I think I've had the 2010 and it was one of those drinks that really makes you want to be a better person.

The downside: Can't really taste it so I have to age several at the same time and try one every year.

As a Belgian (where, as you know, Chimay comes from), I must say, excellent choice. I prefer the blue one myself, never tried aging it though. Thanks for the suggestion!

Sorry you can't be home with your family, Leslie.
