1st Step - Go to sears on black Friday and pickup the basic 180 piece mechanics tool set, a couple of pry bars, half inch breaker bar, and a decent torque wrench.

It's a KA, a couple of years ago we gave one away for a case of beer and the other I put out by the curb. Now they sell for a little more because of the increase in 240sx popularity, but they are dirt cheap because everyone swaps them out.

We do the same work as them in a small Chicago area garages. You can rent most specialty tools from an auto parts store. As far as parts and a chassis, forums and craigslist are your best friend.

There was also at least one Roush engineer. I wont say who it was because he's not that good of a driver, but at least someone was there to represent us.

Caterham SV chassis dimensions taken by one of the few people building a very well thought out Locost 7 on locost usa.

Realistically even wiring in the factory ECU wouldnt be terrible to do, factory harnesses really are not that complex as long as you have good diagrams.

Yeah the +442 cars are kind of a joke. If I'm not mistaken the book chassis is the size of a caterham SV chassis.

I think the gymkhana videos, while still fairly impressive bits of a driving (even if done in multiple takes), are getting old and boring. Personally I thought the latest motorcycle vs. car drift battle was way more entertaining. They established an entertainign story line (the driftpocalypse) and had some

My guess is that it was from the A/C condenser dripping, since I'm sure it is only used at 1 setting, max a/c on full blast. After all...desert.

This just ruined my day....

I believe its pronounced "Winnderrs"

I think the problem that quite a few people touched on is that in most cases, no matter what you tell them they will usually just buy whatever they want.

And when I look at that I close my eyes and see all of the design cues they took from the original 1 series...
