Yeah, I was thinking that it's so weird to me that dudes there are big on passing laws that just seem like so much trouble for men as well. Is this one of those situations where the guys passing the laws are like, so privileged and rich that they don't have to deal with the implications of their laws? I don't really

I would get the blood test to be sure, but your body can really mess with you. I've had a few pregnancy scares in my time, and it is amazing what your body & head will do to you.

You definitely want to get a blood test when you have a chance to be absolutely sure, but, your pregnancy symptoms could also be really bad PMS symptoms. What you're describing is exactly what happens to me when I am about to get my period, especially the hungry and peeing constantly thing.

well that completely sucks. Internet hugs to you.

I get fed up with the guys who are all like: "teach me like I'm fucking five how to meet women because I intentionally keep myself at the emotional level of a 6 year old". Women are people dude, not magical keepers of the Book of Human Relations.

I live in an area (and work in a job) where I come into contact with a lot of famous people.

My last boyfriend refused to attend my birthday party because it had a costume theme and was at a bar. What's worse? He gaslighted me into apologizing to HIM for "excluding him" from my celebration by "purposely picking activities he hates"

To be fair, the worst of it definitely comes from the trolls. But yeah, a lot of commenters there seem to think gender should only be discussed on Jezebel and nowhere else on GM. It's ridiculous.

Nah, it's pretty much always a crapfest when gender is discussed on Gawker. There's a lot of great people but also a lot of brogressives who are good on most issues but seem to have a blind spot when it comes to gender politics. There are also more trolls there since it's the flagship site of GM. Although I find

Yeah, kinja should really fix that. It's pretty effed up.

Shit, I'm sorry to hear this. It's so hard to allow yourself to be vulnerable, after feeling like it's safe to do it (he did say the l word first!) only to have someone be a dick. I've been there. Just know that there's someone better out there for you, and this person was just temporary.

Oh, I did exactly the same when it happened to me (on two separate occasions). Most of us don't say anything. Don't ever feel bad about that. It's not your fault he did it and it's not your fault you didn't challenge him.

Yeah, gawker commenters are pretty much a keg short of a brofest

I think Gawker has great commenters but on that catcalling thread yesterday it was kind of amazing how many people I recognize as intelligent, reasonable guys are totally clueless about what it's like to be a woman. I still like them but it was kind of like, "Damn, a lot of you dudes have no idea."

It's weird- sometimes gawker dudebros are prevalent in the comments, and sometimes there are remarkably same voices. It varies.

Is anyone else really annoyed by the dudebros that infest Gawker? I wrote that "pussy" is a sexist insult and I've been regaled with angry guys for hours now. None of them have made any convincing argument either. It's pretty much just "it's not sexist because I say so."

When are we ever going to have a honest conversation about how the major religions treat women? I love that "racism" and "Islamophobia" are more important than women.

I couldn't chalk it up to an interesting experience. You are literally and legally not a human being once you step foot in there based on your genital lips and chromosomes (intersex etc. must really fuck up the Saudi Arabian legal system) and lose your rights to become a second class slave. With nice shopping malls

One of my closest friends from undergrad is a a Saudi. His mother and sister were both teachers and he had to wake up each day, extra early, to drive them across their city to work. He completely did not see the point, and it inconvenienced everyone in the family.

Sex separation and the accompanying mountain of restrictions must be exhausting to maintain. Where does one find the time?
