The headline confused me. I expected this to be a story about a woman who was shopping with her mother at Nordstrom Rack and was the victim of a random bear attack right after pointing out to her mom that NO she did not think the skirt was too short and she is an ADULT.

Oh my word, someone making some sense. Thank you!! And THANK YOU for showing love and patience to those kids. You can probably stay calm through some crazy scenes. Peace and strength to you.

Not really. Kids tantrum for many reasons. One of them is to leave where they are. If you really care about people raising well-adjusted children you would tolerate some tantruming in public places. Sometimes when you see parents "not doing anything" it's because they are removing the positive incentive of their

This, sometimes just looking at or gently touching my child wil escalate the situation.

Nah. They do happen. And if the kid has some other issues, it might not be possible to calm the child.

Just so everyone is aware, many parents are counseled to ignore tantrums. So a parent ignoring her child's tantrum could very well be acting on the advice of her pediatrician or a development expert.

Sounds like multiple little tantrums goin' on there. Some people w/o kids are so fucking hypersensitive about being bothered by other people's kids. If there's a person near me in line with cologne/perfume on that I don't like, should I complain and ask that they do something about it? How long was the lady going to

I have a strong opinion about people who can't mind their own business and block out annoying ass shit headed kids. Get zen, you are the fucking adult. Her going on the news to share her harrowing tale solidifies that opinion.

Yeah... no. The temper tantrums can and will continue until like 9 or 10. Sporadically in later years, but they totally happen. Also depends on our definition of a temper tantrum I guess.

This whole story is all kinds of wrong. Why do people get in other peoples business? Whenever I see a kid freakin out I just think damnnn glad my kids not like that and walk away. Its not my responsibility to discipline other peoples kids, why do some people feel so strongly to do it? Also the other lady, just no. no

Should be "A Body for Every Body, Unless You are a DDD+, In Which Case You're Shit Out of Luck, Honey."

I have 20 years on you and have come to the opposite conclusion. There's a real quiet, lovely satisfaction in knowing you are a good person who won't lie, cheat, steal or screw others over, and who, in fact, goes out of one's way to be kind and helpful. I see myself as creating the world I live in. Not all of it - I'm

This reminds me of an argument I got into on one of the Kinja sites. Somebody was saying they can flush whatever the hell they want down their toilets and sinks because they can afford to fix their plumbing issues that may arise. And I just about had a rage-stroke because your plumbing pipes don't stop at the property

Oh, I expect they'd claim "we're talking about the camera and the phone, not her ass!" Stay classy, Manchester.

Yeah, the ad above is a joke. "A body for every body," but we're only going to show one type of body in our ad.

I was about to say this looks more like it has to do with getting mugged, but then I noticed the thong. Ugh, come on, guys.

YES. I actually think "The Perfect Body" is way more fitting and "A Body For Every Body" annoys me much more. They don't provide sizes for every body and they don't portray varying body types in their campaign. It seems like way more of an F-off to those of us that don't fit their mold.

Given that Victoria's Secret doesn't carry bras in my size, I'm not wild about A Body for Every Body, either.

Off topic, but have you heard about the poster that the police department in the greater Manchester area (UK) put out in response to a rape recently occurred?

I'm not sure it really matters what the ad campaign is called. When a store only sells garments that fit "perfect" bodies, and only has ads featuring "perfect" bodies (the bodies of Angels, no less!!) we all get the message anyway.
