I think a culture that agrees with revenge killings is more likely to have the death penalty.

I never support trying children as adults, even in a case like this. But the 'affluenza' defense is complete bullshit.
So what? You think the girls deserved to be harassed because they are naive?
Block away if the posts are doing you harm. She might not by lying to you with the compliments though, she could just have a skewed view of herself.
Do you post on your wall often? I ask because I usually only delete someone if I am seeing their posts regularly and I don't talk to them anymore. People who never post don't get deleted because I haven't bothered going through my friends list and have forgotten about them.
Sometimes it's hard to tell online :). A lot of people conveniently forget that 'socialisation' is the result of penalties for that behaviour, and not just women magically deciding to do something that disadvantages them.
People keep blaming women for the gap by pointing out that women don't negotiate for wages as much as men. But it's not that women are too stupid to think of asking, they have just learnt that it won't work out as well for them as it does for men.
Because whatever you do as a mother, there is always someone happy to judge you for it. With all that judgement flying about, people often get loudly defensive of their position and start attacking others.
You aren't responsible for what your ancestors do, BUT you are responsible for what you do with advantages you gained from their behaviour.
I don't understand this attitude at all. Even if you think that poor adults deserve their status (I don't), how do you justify extending that blame to the children?
There is an option used elsewhere, which is to allocate a certain amount of paid leave to each parent. If only one parent uses the leave, then the rest is lost. It doesn't make taking the leave mandatory but it is a good motivator.
The more you do something, the better you get at it. Including giving up smokes :).
Because I wanted to read about Kristen Bell's boycott. I don't see how that is hypocritical.
Consenting to being photographed some of the time is not the same as agreeing to be photographed all of the time. Celebrities should not be followed around and photographed on their down time, and that goes double for family or friends who aren't in the business themselves.
It has been made very clear in the comments to this article that it happens in both directions to a horrible degree. Everyone needs to learn to stop touching other people without their consent!
It's a word to insult people who are women, not people who are straight. A gay guy using misogynist insults is just as much of an arsehole as a straight guy doing the same thing. In much the same way that a straight woman using homophobic insults is just as much of an arsehole as a straight guy doing the same thing.
It sounds like there is huge load of awfulness going in both directions! Each side thinks the other is worse, because people are more likely to notice when something bad happens to themselves, than when it happens to someone else.
Yes, children should not be expected to raise children. It is hard enough for adults to keep it together sometimes.
There are more people in the world than ever, and news travels faster and further than ever too. It's probably not worse than before, we just hear about it more.
What is the limit for charging a child as an adult? If a 12 year old kills someone, are they an adult? What about 10, or 8?
