Assaulting someone in a rage because they threatened your life is vigilantism. It's not self defense, because the threat no longer exists. I get the anger, but I am disturbed by the number of people who think it is OK to attack someone who frightened your or made you angry.

.

The fact that the pain is later forgotten does not make it less painful to experience at the time. Babies are every bit as capable of experiencing pain as adults are.

I think it would be a good idea to make a note in the article that you have edited it. Having read the article after the change, the comments are rather confusing.

A lot of people here have stated that they shave or wax due to a general dislike of body hair. I think the developing norm of removing pubic hair may just be a natural extension of our society's general dislike of body hair. It most strongly affects women (who often shave everything these days), but also men.

After spending years in customer service and/or administration roles I have a similar problem. I had to train myself to seem friendly and helpful all the time, because when I started I was often accused of being angry or sad when I thought my face was neutral. Now that I am studying to start a new professional career

Ageism is not the solution to racism.

I went wire-free during late pregnancy and breastfeeding as wires are said to increase the risk of mastitis. As soon as my child was weaned I went back to underwire bras because the wire-free ones didn't provide anywhere near enough support (I'm a 30F).

Have you tried somewhere that sells Panache brand bras? I have a number of them in a 30 band. I have to drive across town to a store that sells them though.

The rules weren't just, but the school chose to enforce them anyway. Which makes it the school's fault, not hers.

She may realise something is wrong, but not want to acknowledge it.

There are too many creeps out there and each one will target many people, so there are bound to be people who get targeted multiple times. Also, as others also mentioned, creeps are pretty good at picking out people who find it difficult to enforce boundaries. I used to get hassled in public quite often but no longer

I am stunned that someone who has a nanny doesn't consider themselves rich.

It all seems to ignore the fact that one important human trait is how much we are shaped by our culture. So many studies attempt to explain a particular behaviour, e.g. whether women are attracted to men with money, as being a direct result of some inbuilt gene for seeking out rich men, rather than a natural outcome

Do you endorse every outcome of the current systems, laws and processes? It isn't all or nothing. The 'system' can sometimes be as cruel as vigilante justice, and vigilante justice can sometimes be used to provide actual justice.
