    @deuxhero: Pretty much. Legal precedent ftw.

    @Yukichin: I wish I was kidding <

    There're no children involved, so it isn't child pornography. Also, people who consume this material are no more likely to be abusers of children than the general population, so the whole this is just moral panic enshrined in law.

    @BishopBlaize: Someone should invent a hammock that slowly lowers you down onto a flat bed after it detects that you've fallen asleep. :)

    @Yukichin: We have had a politician claim, out loud, in public, that drawings of this nature "harm 'society's child'"! So of course it needs to be illegal. These fictional drawings are causing direct harm to a fictional child!

    @deuxhero: No, there's a law. It's utterly stupid.

    @thunderhorse: Same here. Pathetic moral panic rears its ugly head again.

    @PathRifter: By Canadian law, yes, you have to give up your encryption keys.

    @stixbunny: Not quite sure what you mean by that. Drawings of completely fictional characters are not people. You cannot commit a crime against a fictional character.

    Yes, Canada's laws in this area are fucking stupid. I'm embarrassed to be Canadian when this sort of thing comes up. :P

    @SteveTW: Sunspots actually make the Sun more luminous, as while the spots themselves are dark, the regions surrounding them become brighter (I think they're called 'plages' but I could be wrong there XD).

    @Anekanta - hedge rider: Don't forget the outcry that one Pokemon card import caused with it's manji in the background... XD

    @rek: Anime is a medium, not a genre. There are a terrible lot of bad anime, just as there are a terrible lot of bad live-action movies. XD

    @Sean O'Brien: I try to ignore it because it's stupid to let a bunch of psychopaths from the early 20th century tarnish a millenias-old good fortune symbol. Getting all worked up about a 'Nazi symbol' just lends power to something that should've died for good decades ago.

    @rek: I'd say the article's bit about the honeysuckle species being declared 'invasive' counts?

    @SpammerOvTheGods: Purple Loosestrife cowers before the might of the Giant Hogweed.

    @corpore-metal: If you spun one fast enough, could you have a neutron donut? :)

    @corpore-metal: Don't forget the Giant's Causeway in Ireland. :)

    @Dances with Peeps: That actually pretty common. If you feel a sneeze just teasing you and not going off, quickly look up at a bright light to push it over the edge into a full nosegasm. :)

    @CSX321: Oddly enough I can do that too, although until now I never actually connected the sensation to pee shivers. Weird!
