I don't know that he was saying they should be competing with the i8. I think that was more an argument on the execution of the high performance hybrid concept. The CR-Z could have been done better

Being the oblivious fool driving with all their lights completely off when it's way past sunset/before sunrise. You honk at them, flash your high beams, turn your lights on and off, wave and motion...nothing works - they just stare straight on ahead twirling their hair, singing along, or totally zoned out....UNTIL…
I agree. And let's not forget that direct injection gas motors are becoming more and more of a thing. GM even is working on an (almost) spark plug free direct injection gasoline motor.
Man, I read the first part of your comment and had a glimmer of hope that maybe someone finally realized that I was referring to accidents like the one in the video above and not the ultra tragic accidents where someone, suicidal or not, walks on to the track. Unfortunately, I read the rest of your comment and notice…
Absolutely agree with this 100%. But I see hours of therapy billed even when trains hit empty vehicles
It's definitely helpful in those situations and necessary. The company I work for offers a support system for any drivers that we insure that are involved in any kind of serious accident.
I don't mean to say there aren't situations where there is trauma involved, but it's certainly not a 100% guarantee and I'd go so far as to say that, with the frequency of train/vehicle collisions, the train engineers get to a point where they're somewhat numb to it all. I think the asshat in the car is probably more…
It's basically some vacation time for the engineers. From how it's been explained to me, it's sort of a self administered therapy. So you can go in for therapy or if your "method" is going to the bar for a few hours then you can do that. The company just charges whatever the engineer's salary is against the other…
Insurance in the UK has always seemed a little bit confusing to me but I'm sure that's just because you get accustomed to what you're exposed to. Different states hear have different minimum required limits and most people get just the minimum. (California only requires $5K property damage coverage where Alaska's is…
Not sure if light rail train companies (which I guess is basically the city's transportation division) are as shitty as Union Pacific and the likes, but they include crap called "Peer Services" anytime a train hits a vehicle so that the engineer can go to therapy for the "trauma and mental anguish" involved in such…
I think what you're referencing is the concept of contributory or comparative negligence. Which could possibly be argued but you'd have to be able to prove the speed of the Lambo. Skid marks might be able to tell but since it was airborne I doubt there are any good ones haha.
Insurance adjuster here. Not in London but I'm assuming they still use the concept of proximate cause. Lambo driver has the right of way, Mazda driver is turning. Certain people will clamor that the Lambo was speeding with the only evidence being that it's a Lambo but if the Lambo driver continued at their speed and…
That sure is one hell of a drift. Sure, Speed is a great driver and the Mach 5 is a car that the limits of our world has never seen, but I'm sure physics still apply somewhere in his universe. I mean, come on.

Yeah, typing faster than I was thinking.
This. This wins. This is all this dumb actress has accomplished.
What's most interesting to me is that these look like the vents from my old 1991 Toyota Tercel but they're in a Mercedes...
