That is how wanna-be-white people have been known to roll, yes.

“Also, if I’m gonna concoct a ridiculous lie in the name of theft, first on my list of marks won’t be twice as many people as me who are currently filming everything they’re doing.”

Listen, can anyone argue for ‘redemption’ possibilities for people like this fucking nasty old horse vagina? Because she’s gotta be late 50's or in her 60's, at least, and there is clearly no way anyone is going to change her mind, she openly stated, “Yes, I am racist, I choose my own people.”

The money is one part of the iceberg:

This! That racist POS entire family needs to be living in the mountains of Virginia under tree bark.

Add a zero and I wouldn't be upset.

That's what I'm struggling with as well. The damages are on par with simply underpaying a person, but this case is clearly more complex than mere wage theft. This was an insidious crime, and looking at it otherwise is unacceptable

$546,000??? For literal modern day slavery? How about no... I didn’t read where pain and suffering was included, causing even more psychological damage to this man. But then again, they don’t believe we actually endure pain and suffering. This is wild, bruh.

The first judge should have been remanded for that ruling.

“...But most men STILL don’t know shit about women, assault, and how easy and common it is to combine the two...”

Have to say you can’t tell if she can really do the accent until you hear how she pronounces the words water, Eagles, hoagie, or Philadelphia. Extra bonus points for the correct ordering of a cheese steak “with whiz”

I’m gonna go ahead and call bullshit on his explanation/pseudo-apology.

I’m trying to picture what this accent is without hearing it. I grew up in South Jersey, my father’s from Delaware County, so I’m guessing it just sounds “normal” to me.

My father grew up in Drexel Hill and Upper Darby, and I grew up in South Jersey, so I’m curious about how accurate this is. I’ll definitely check this out.

I grew up surrounded by that accent, although I never spoke it. Even hearing it daily until I was 19, I could never imitate it properly to people who were unfamiliar with the “Philly” accent. It really is extremely difficult to fake if you didn't grow up speaking it.

As someone who has been fascinated by the DelCo accent for over 20 years, I’d say she’s doing a pretty good job. My only criticism would be she doesn’t sound as ridiculously over the top as the people who actually speak this dialect every day. In my opinion/experience.

This is the most scathing summation of the many things wrong with American policing. It’s a Judge Dredd dystopia. I look on the truth that the show The Wire espoused to us: Policing isn’t about improving a bad situation it’s about the cops justifying their existence with good stats.

That is some bullshit; I’m assuming she keeps a nice pension by resigning instead of getting fired?

The way companies treat workers now, I would not be surprised if newer agreements didn’t spell out that the company will not cover overdraft fees, even if it is their fault.

Indentured servitude is not slavery. If it were the same it would be called slavery.
