They don’t care. Conservatives do not give a fuck about bad shit until it happen to them.

I’m so proud of the students who spoke up and then shut her down with more grace than she deserved.

My homeroom class learned about the Negro Leagues, the Great Migration, the Children’s March, slavery at George Washington’s plantation, Executive Order 9981, Doris Miller at Pearl Harbor. We even watched an episode of Finding Your Roots with Sterling K. Brown, Sasheer Zamata, and Jon Batiste to get a view of Black

Same old victim blaming shit, or just another day in America.

It used to be that rape victims were blamed for tempting upright men of God and somesuch for dressing in such a fashion that it caused them to rape in the first place. Or having one too many drinks that just overrides rapists primal desires. Or not saying ‘no’ quickly enough.

I had that argument awhile back. My response of “Right, but we started it and perpetuated it here in the first place,” was met with something like “YAH BUT WE ENDED IT THO.”

White people: Why don’t you thank us white people for ending slavery????

“be less white.”

Hopefully, by sharing its finances with the media, BLMGNF is demonstrating a willingness to be more transparent about how it operates and where the money it’s raising is going.

I really do look forward to this but, in so many ways, watching what I know is the real-life victimization of a Black woman, weighs on my soul. I have to get in a certain headspace then figure out some self-care afterward. But these wounds to the heart still add up.

And co-opting wasn’t invented by Gen Xers, either.

They’ve already failed. Blaming the previous generation for not fixing their problems is how you know.

WTF does this even mean?

Cool. I look forward to Millennials fixing America’s social ills since Gen-X failed. Then I look forward to articles like this, written by Gen-Z, complaining that Millennials did not fix America.

Seems this is more an issue of the bigots co-opting language and twisting it than any particular failure of Gen X, to be honest. And I am certain that the same co-opting and turning into a slur happened before political correctness too. Seems that the bigots just don’t like it when we use language to describe their

Hey, if someone has nothing to hide, they have nothing to worry about.

Oh gee. More cops with literally nothing else to do, needing to justify their existence by making charges up out of thin air to pad numbers.

“Look, just because we’ve shot at black people for holding a cell phone or trying to get into their own home, or while lying flat on the ground with their arms outstretched, or knelt on their neck until they’re dead while showing no emotion at all, that’s no reason for this frightened look on your face just because

I could believe that Chance is a member of a certain subset of white fathers of Black daughters easily enough, but I think I agree with you. If it was real I’d expect several extended rants about his baby mama, or at least some “one of the good ones”-ing (probably undercut by his actual words, but still) about either

Re: “You’ve never walked in a white person’s shoes.” Well, actually, the way white supremacy works is that everyone had to be acutely aware of what the world is like for white people. A Black teenager is trained to treat a white police officer as the most delicate flower who musn’t feel threatened or disrespected in
