So I've only been at this parenting thing for 2 years now, but in my experience, just do your best not to push an agenda one way or the other. This means…
If anyone has questions about autism and vaccines, I'll just leave this very informative link here:
I CANNOT with the anti-science undercurrent that runs through American culture. "Dr." Leo Spaceman is not somebody whose views we should be adopting:
My biggest regret in life is that I am not Audra McDonald.
Wait...what's a "T&E budget"?
Chivalry is sexism, it's politeness that is worthwhile. Chivalry is believing you are better than a woman so must help her, politeness is helping people and being nice because it's the right thing to do.
I'm Jewish, so if I ever had a son I'd be expected to have him circumcised by my family (and I am very close to my family). Ideally I think that it's a choice that should be made when someone is old enough to understand, but the caveat is that the older you get the more painful circumcision is (or so I've heard).
This really sucks. In one article you've managed to perpetuate the myth that vaginas get disgusting when you use them to birth babies (which by the way, they are designed to do—a vagina is like a mouth: just because you stretch it wide, doesn't mean it stays like that) AND snark on a woman who loves her body despite…
Why, Jezebel? Seriously, fuck you. Disagree with her all you want, I certainly do, but for a site that claims to support body positivity you are a bunch of hypocrites. Good for her for feeling good about herself. This article just makes you look petty and sad, which is happening more and more often on here.
Nailed it. I just sat there, envisioning the write-up detailing my public censure by the state bar's ethics board over that comment sans disclaimer.
Better than Boston - where ANY drink specials are completely forbidden. ie. no happy hours.
But... being pregnant DOESN'T make you a mother. How many pregnant women who don't have other kids call themselves a mom? Is that something anti-abortion rights people do?
But it shouldn't be mother, it should be person (or at least woman, if you're going to ignore transmen, and you shouldn't). Being pregnant doesn't make someone a parent.
Honestly I felt like I was little more than a host when I was pregnant. The list of things you are no longer allowed to do really tweaked my inner rebel.
That's weird. I gave birth to a baby recently and not once during my pregnancy did I have a child in my uterus.
People don't hold guilt for a woman,
Women may not be going to the movies in drones because it's dangerous. I prefer a car when I head to the movies. Sometimes I walk, if it strikes* my fancy.
I'm Australian so I'm just going to be blunt here - can Americans not see what the gun problem is about?
Can intelligent, rational people really not see that your entire nation's problem with guns might just be - you know - guns??
The only advantage to being married to a resident is that she completely waved off any flowers for V-Day because, in her words, "are you kidding? I'm on CCU. I don't even have time to pee, let alone enjoy flowers."
