@xdeathknightx: Ah, it's clear you've never seen "The Man With the Screaming Brain."

@serenada: I think that's Ryan Reynolds' superpower.
@colormist: You just mentioned Bruce and Ryan in the same post. My head just exploded. Somebody get them to costar in something, stat!
Wait, so he's funny, handsome, ab-tastic, AND good with kids? Swoon!
@Krakenstein: Have you seen those two? I bet they're mostly pantsless when they're at home.
@astrogea: So true! I was disappointed not to see the purple oily smoke coming from the vamp fires.
@mordicai: I liked the broken statue thing quite a bit, actually. It made good sense after the endless descriptions of perfect cold marble.
@CanuckJacq: A depressing thought, but that's a good explanation for this phenomenon.
@CanuckJacq: Oh, but what a way to go ...
@Dan Sabato: Ah, apologies for misunderstanding you and commenting with my hackles raised. I see what you were saying now. Thanks for the clarification.
@bookling: I've heard a lot about Uglies and Leviathan in this thread. I'm definitely going to have to pick those up.
@mordicai: Yes. Thank you. Hate it because you've read and it don't like the creepy stalker overtones and the frustratingly passive heroine. But don't hate it just because it's massively popular with girls.
@killerswan: That would be one shitty place to work. Unless you're a big fan of the "Evil Dead" movies and also are a Highlander.
@Evil Tortie's Mom: R.O.A.C.H.: I don't understand your opinion, but I'm glad that there will be more peanut butter cups for the rest of us.
@bookling: I agree with the first part — girl protagonist = girl book — but often, boy protagonist = book for both boys and girls. I believe the industry-wide belief is that girls will read books with boy leads, but boys eschew books with girl leads.
@CanuckJacq: I now feel vindicated for struggling to get into "TC&TC." 'Twas written by a man suffering from a serious crisis of the soul.
@Dan Sabato: Don't generalize, please. And read a couple of the romance novels that discerning readers consider quality before writing of an entire genre as no-good trash.
@David Paul Evans: I'll be checking that out!
@1Grand_Marquis: I want con artists in all of my entertainment. Seriously.
@Fossum206: Cool, thanks!
