1 I know it’s not your responsibility to edit this article, but it is very jarring to read the museum’s abbreviation used without the leading article “the”.

“over five million people visited AMNH in 2017" <- that reads weird

Homie, they let 18 year olds serve.

Bony blonde with fake tits?

Nah, it’s just the moon covering the sun.

Also, who’s to say that the continued moving straight north away from the wall. Their outbound path could have been meandering since they were looking for an isolated group of White Walkers, not the main body of the army. Gendry’s return sprint would have been significantly shorter.

Ya. I don’t know if it would have made anything better, but maybe they could have involved Bran sending a raven before the whole thing even started?

But we didn’t see a night pass at all (not until they’re on the rock). I think their trek was within a day, it just seemed longer. And a day makes everything more or less feasible.

Why did you get the impression that they traveled for a few days north of the wall? They never made camp. You never saw it become dark (until they were on the island). At first I thought it was 2-3 days, but after I thought about it, why? Maybe you had the same impression that I did, but there was nothing to indicate

I’ve been marathoning this show in an effort to catch up this season (finally did it before last night’s episode), and this has been my #1 problem with the show: time and distance seem to mean absolutely nothing.

The impression that they were travelling more than a day is just that, an impression. They are never shown stopped to eat, or camp, and we never see nightfall.

I have 3 theories regarding this

“Based on the impression that the party had travelled for a few days north of the wall”

This is only something the rich can afford. If you want to go this route, who am I to say no but this is all kinds of spendy. Mere mortals like me can’t afford it.

I totally agree. Have you heard her album? It’s incredible. The last thing I was expecting from a Trixie Mattel record was genuinely emotionally affecting folky bluegrass and alt country, but I LOVE it.

I'd understood that the core samples which ostensibly provided support to the turtle hypothesis were actually misinterpreted, to the end that what was thought to be tortoiseshell turned out to be elephant toenail scrapings.

"And in any case, the World Health Organization had begun to question its malaria-eradication program even before Silent Spring was published. One object lesson was that the heavy use of DDT in many parts of the world was producing new strains of mosquitoes resistant to the insecticide. Much as it can happen with

Yes, Mary Roach is amazing — she manages to make everything both fun and fascinating.
