@JinxyMcDeath: @Zombies make the heart grow fonder: And Diddy's entire musical career.

@Peppermint: The quotes are there to point out that People magazine is full of it if it tries to claim the feature is about health and not aesthetics. Every one of those brides is doing it for aesthetic reasons, i.e. how they will look on their wedding day. I don't think this article was making fun of the women, but

@Peppermint: We are shaming "People," the magazine, not people, the brides.

@LLisCool: You are lucky not to have been raised in the churches I was where I was told "feminism" is a dirty word. Which eventually precipitated my leaving the church in adulthood.

@Cat Eyes: I thought the hairdos and clothes pre-dated Brown. But the gun tattoos, I definitely agree. Seemed pretty likely she was trying to assert control over her own life given the timing and content of the particular tattoos.

@leesie: Oh, yes. I read your comment wrong - carry on!

@feliciag27004: There is a lot on etsy and it can be hard to find the good among the mediocre. It helps if you open an account and establish a "favorites" list because there are some really interesting shops. I like to peruse the front page, which changes several times a day, where you have the staff's "handpicked

@gingerspeak: It's a cross post. If you click on the authors' names at the top, it will take you to the original article. Jezebel has been featuring content from other sites for a few weeks.

@leesie: I think Kendra is 25 but *feels* 35, i.e. old.

@nansense: Interesting, I've never heard the demo track with Britney!

@nansense: Telephone was originally written for Britney...by Gaga (and another writer). Gaga was writing songs for Britney (and others, I presume) before she hit it big herself.

@femme-bot: At least in the Holiday they also sent The reclusive country girl to the city to get a little excitement into her life.

@evafortuna: I see what you are getting at. My high school honors and AP classes were also weighted, so that my GPA was above 4.0. I know I submitted my actual transcript with my college apps, and it's very possible (though I don't remember exactly) that my counselor also had to recalculate my GPA on a 4.0 scale. I

@evafortuna: I'm a big confused regarding your point about refiguring GPAs. I graduated from high school in Ohio (over a decade ago, at this point), and I'd be interested to know in what context the GPA scale is changed. This is unfamiliar to me.

@curiousgeorgiana: Ours were entirely standardized, multiple-choice, paper tests. I'm impressed by the complexity of your testing.

@leviathan: Interesting perspective. I'd be curious how your gifted program was structured.

@faire-la-moue: Well, her blog isn't necessarily aimed at being funny, although there might be some witty remarks here or there. It's goal seems to be more servicey. I didn't see her twitter post as an attack on anyone who used, say, a blog to share personal anecdotes. Especially if you read her follow-up re: Chris

@faire-la-moue: I'm not clear what you're getting at with that link, considering her blog is about things she's bought and not a chronicling of her sexual exploits...

@AgainWithFeeling: Man, I bought anything and everything with dolphins on it back in the day. I feel like I still would...
