@FrabjousDay: Well, the latest numbers indicate that job losses have finally stopped and job rates are barely starting to tick up. Most of the banks have paid back the bailout money and it turns out federal government made money on the transaction.

@Scout: This is my first real foray into the whole cake/pie debate other other than some whining when blueberry lost. I've been saving it up.

@Scout: Team Pie is being duped. Cheesecake is the Joe Lieberman of pies - it says it's a pie, but the second you turn your back, it's going to vote cake! This is a no-win situation and I am merely choosing the lesser of two evils.

@Scout: So this is how we handle political dissent in this party? I might just have to become a dessert independent!

@MizJenkins: I need balance in my cream cheese desserts. Cheesecake (which to me is an entire dessert category unto itself) is entirely unbalanced. If all I wanted was cheese I'd get some goat cheese and crackers and go to town.

I hate to do this, Team Pie, but you brought this on yourself when you voted out all pies involving fruity fillings. And I just don't like cheesecake that much. That's right, I'm defecting. Because as much as I generally turn my nose up at cake, I love cream cheese frosting and bright colors. Viva la Red Velvet!

Dodai, I had the same problem with my DVR. I almost missed the episode because I thought maybe it wasn't new since it wasn't recording. I blame Comcast for not labeling the show "first run" or whatever my DVR needs to know to record.

@NefariousNewt: I'm 100% Team Pie, but all the best pies have been defeated by their inferior cousins. Blueberry was my last best hope. I'm at a loss over who to root for now.

@lilyHaze: it doesn't have to be canned. if you love a pie made with fresh, delicious, summer blueberries, then vote blueberry!

I want to know what it is you all have against berry pies? First cherry fell. And now blueberry is trailing. I mean, come on! Pie was practically invented for the holding of delicious summer berries!!

@Tambar: She has an adopted daughter, Mercy, who is still rather young, I believe.

@14Kgold: Yes! I grew up in Ohio and demanded an ice cream cake from DQ for basically every birthday. Then I moved to the east coast where I've been for the last decade or so and DQ is much harder to find. I make my boyfriend pull over when we are driving through the middle of Virginia and I spot a DQ.

@14Kgold: What is amazing? Now DQ offers ice cream cakes in blizzard flavors - including the girl scout cookie flavors! Real ice cream or not, let's just say I had an awesome 30th birthday cake.

@14Kgold: Dairy Queen. It's a layer of chocolate ice cream, followed by a delicious but thin layer of cookie crunch and fudge topped with a layer of vanilla ice cream. No actual (nasty) cake in site.
