At least they’re offering refunds. Lots of Kickstarters that run out of cash go into eternal radio silence and/or vanish into the dark, with no offer of refunds or promise of product. Insert, “aaaaaaaaand it’s gone,” meme.

This sure is one of the games of all time

Longer release schedules means more people maintain membership across multiple months.

I don’t know Resident Evil, yet I’m here to complain about it.”

Nice work, chief.

Yup, kids loved it, as did myself and my brother / Super Mario Bros. playing buddy who always had to be Luigi in 1986. It’s not a great film or anything, but it’s rare to see a movie so perfectly designed for its audience, exactly what it “should be.” Still can’t imagine that anyone is mad about this movie.

To be fair the NCU should have taken a break after “Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Game Over”. Sure it broke box office records and it’s beloved by fans but its 315 minute run time was way too long. It’s going to be hard to top Chris Pratt’s Mario sacrifice himself to save all of the multiverse. Plus following up

Bruh, don’t give the 13 year old me hope that this gets made.

Also, please give the 40 year old me relief that this won’t get made.

I know, right? I got the Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt NES for Christmas as a kid, I spent a year of college playing Mario Kart 64, and I’m excited to see this movie with my kids tomorrow because they can enjoy something I grew up with and then moved past. I’m expecting a colorful kids movie with a few nods to older

Eat a snack, guy. Your blood sugar is dangerously low. I hope.

- Are you playing a game on the job!?

Not suprising, apparently all you have to do is suggest a gamer is wrong about some bit of techinical data and they’ll post classified documents.

Instead, Apple TV+’s Tetris offers a wholly competent but flat movie that will likely be forgotten shortly after you watch it.

Counterpoint: I was tremendously entertained, and count Tetris among my favorites of this young year (and unquestionably among the best of the “videogame movies” subgenre).

As someone who sees shitloads of confidential information daily, I don’t know how he’s going to get any job with any private data that he might see because no job is going to go, “Well we understand, you made a poor choice, here’s another chance.”

Screw GameStop for paying and treating their employees like shit but like...don’t violate company policies and leak shit should be really simple, basic, easy “How to not get fired 101" shit. Especially if you leak things through accounts that are in any way, shape, or form traceable back to you. Especially if it’s

Yoshi was in the final stinger so it’ll probably revolve around him

Loved it!! All the critics expecting some award winning story are totally missing the point! When has Mario really ever had a complex involved story?? To me it felt like the games coming alive and was all I wanted or expected!! Do want more YOSHI though!

Yes, audience participation is very much A Thing at RHPS. In fact I directed the stage version (The Rocky Horror Show) and encouraged the audience to yell out.

Which is odd because I don’t even remember “I Will Always Love You” being in it.
