Counterpoint: we are so conditioned by games not allowing us to do things that are possible in the real world, that it is immensely helpful to have clear signposting as to what things we are allowed to interact with. How many games give you an axe and surround you with indestructible trees/barrels/doors/houses? More

The roller-coaster at the end of the universe.

If I had something I thought was worth almost half a million dollars, I’d sell it somewhere other than eBay.

I do like Game Pass although I’m just an on-and-off subscriber, but comparing the list of adds to the list of games leaving, this is a net negative month imo. Quite the opposite picture that article is trying to portray.

I agree, a bit of click bait

Headline made me think Dead Space got added to Gamepass as a surprise :(

nobody with an ounce of integrity collects these for real

I genuinely couldn’t disagree more with you about Jackie/Misty and the game’s opening. To me (and to most people who enjoyed the game back in 2020), I think you (along with many critics) got blindsided by the bugs and just never game the fair shake, so much that it’s tainted your ability to see the game with

How did far cry 4 make the list over, say, link to the past? as the list says, “any game where you can hang-glide over a waterfall is fine by me”. and you know what? they’re right! that ruled! and if that makes it one of their favourite games of all time, then it deserves a spot on their list.

i hate to say it but, why are you asking him to elaborate? he gave you straight up hate speech. he talked about the US and UK as being ‘civilized countries.’ i think we need to have some standards here

TI is peak “Ameritrash”(a term I’m not fond of but it is what it is), so definitely no sheep for cubes. It’s just a very detailed 4X space game, basically Master of Orion the board game(I think the original version of TI predates MoO).

To be fair to TI, it’s a very fun game as well. It’s just a huge time investment. I haven’t played in a few years but for over a decade we had a regular yearly play of it with my gaming group. It was always the Friday after Thanksgiving. What was nice was that since we knew we’re playing and when, everyone could

Dude, he just wrote the article, don’t shoot the messenger.

This is both a reasonable stance and something that frustrates me. The whole “let’s see if it catches on” is very much one of the reasons VR *struggles* to catch on. It feels like such a self-fulfilling prophecy to me.

The trailer you posted for the Halo section is Halo Wars 2. Not Halo 2.

Items are what makes Smash Bros. best for casual players. It adds randomness to a fighting game. Removing the items is best for a competitive setting, removing the randomness from the fights and letting only the players’ skills decide the outcome of the match.

Plus Ashley is a space racist and her name is already Ash

“You know Sweet Anita. You’ve seen her streams, stumbled across her Twitter account, or watched clips of her on TikTok.”

No, I don’t, and no, I haven’t. I have never heard of this person before now. The whole twitch-streamer sphere really doesn’t grasp how insular it is, does it? If you’re not parts of that ecosystem,
