I checked out the beta and was pretty disappointed. All the advances Relic’s previous games had brought to the genre are gone, most notably cover, suppression, and morale.

You know, the Romans used to let non-Roman citizens serve in the legions. In return for 25 years of honorable service, the former legionary and his descendants were automatically granted citizenship.

How long, in real-world time, until I get to the good part?

How much longer, in real world time, before I get to the good part?

How much longer, real world time-wise, until I get to the “good” part?

FF15's battle system is okay, but it feels like a more frenetic, messier version of Dragon Age’s. Not okay going backwards.

Help me, Kotaku friends. You’re my only hope.

That does seem silly. I used to play WoW, mainly as a Paladin, and remember that one of my complaints I sent to Blizzard when I finally cut the cord for good was that in PvP, healing wasn’t treated like damage for the purpose of awarding exp. My argument at the time, and which still seems valid here, is that the

Is this a beta/demo? Can we play it too?

I wish Ben Lo would have a talk with Herbert Lowis and hopefully help Herbert make better-looking characters.

Hey Brian. Do you have an opinion about the casting decisions in this relative to the GITS movie?

I’m pretty sure I’m gonna pass on it. For me, the MAIN draw of an RPG is the story and characters. But from everything I’ve read, the PC is an empty husk, the cast of characters are kinda lame, the relationships aren’t really fleshed out, their interactions are stilted and weird (all the more so because of the

Jesus, I miss Nightline.

Inaccurate. This one is not at the bottom of the uncanny valley.

I mean, what is that expression trying to convey? It could be pleading, awe, happiness, or constipation.

At least they’re equally inclusive when it comes to not spending the time necessary to do something right.

Pre-ordering hardware makes sense, because it’s a physical product, and as such, it is actually possible to have a shortage. Pre-ordering digital games (at least as a response to the change for a shortage) makes no sense at all because you can’t run out of supply of a digital product.

Hi Patricia,
