It is possible that my dog is also infected with this parasite? Because this.

We were discussing the prospect of LeBron playing other sports (specifically tennis) on another thread and someone mentioned how he’d make a great goalie; do you think he’d be able to surpass the current women goaltenders (outside of Hope Solo) immediately or do you think he’d need some training first?

...and some hapless defender got collage-ified as a result.

What is Jordan Spieth doing/saying at the 2:00 mark?

That *is* an intriguing idea. I suspect LeBron would pick up the details of positioning very quickly, and with his athleticism...could be fun. Maybe after he retired from basketball he could give it a shot.

If he spent enough time working on his serve, he could pound enough service winners to take a game or two, for sure. He’s 6’8 - that, plus enough practice, combined with his incredible athletic talent would put him there eventually.

I assume you played high school tennis, as I did - could you imagine facing someone as physically imposing as LeBron when you were that age? Especially if he came to the net? He’d be terrifying. Someone that big, and that fast, and that tall, that can jump that high...Jesus. How on earth do you get the ball by him?

I know how he feels.

That’s a good point. I just remembered that Jim Brown / Andre Agassi story; and Jim Brown wasn’t a novice player. But I think if that six months included a lot of focus on LeBron’s serve, Serena wouldn’t have a very easy time breaking him.

How many months of fairly intense tennis training do you think it would take before LeBron was able to beat one of the Williams sisters? I’d put the over/under at 6.

Salting and running through multiple rounds of the hash is very much standard procedure for ANY password check. And while I’m sure that the ArsTech guy has a password that is long, strong, and down to get the friction on, it’s likely that there are a certain proportion of LastPass users who don’t.

...the intruders did take LastPass account email addresses, password reminders, server per user salts, and authentication hashes.

True, but I’m sure there are plenty of counterexamples out there.

You sound like the tech writers during The Fappening who immediately insisted “it isn’t Apple’s fault” in response to Apple saying it wasn’t their fault. I don’t dispute that LastPass knows what they’re doing, but getting a hold of the user tables (which is what sounds like happened) is a big deal - and saying that

I definitely wouldn’t say “relatively benign.” It’s fine for most people - i.e. anyone who used a decent password (or 2FA) - but anyone who used a lousy password (such as “password1”) as their master will likely have their account compromised in fairly short order. Which means that their entire vault can be downloaded

What the hell are you talking about? Who do you think set Stannis’ camp on fire?

There’s a lesson here for anyone trying these kinds of stunts: the absolute safest place to film from is directly in the path of where the guy is trying to hit the ball.

After a madcap chase and a failed attempt at vehicular manslaughter, Biff crashed into a truck. The burly dullard was quite surprised to find that, the manure-filled bed of the truck already had an occupant. “Hey, could you give me a hand,” J.R. Smith said, scrounging through the accumulated feces, “I’m trying to find

Nice find! I think the character Ron Swanson would have a different opinion than Nick Offerman the real person, however.

What is the ecological impact of paving over a portion of the wilderness for a skate park? Is that area not protected at all?
