You could not pay me enough to ski. I’ve tried it three times, and this was my takeaway: Get up way too early, spend scads of money renting awkward equipment and painful boots, lurch around on a mountain for 95% of the time, and ski upright (meh experience-wise) the other 5%. Be either freezing or sweating or both…

What I don’t understand is, the focus on team sports. I get that teams are probably easier to manage for the gym teachers, but they suck when it comes to individual health and exercise. Half the time is on the bench. Or cowering from the dodgeball. Or being humiliated when the teams are picked.
