My business partner just bought a 2019 BMW M5. On paper, this car is just a numbers machine. Every number is eye-popping.
But the badge isn’t giant and doesn’t even light up.
And, with BMW eliminating dispsticks in favor of electronic level sensors in the late 2000s, the Germans have been able to turn around and play the same trick on many unsuspecting owners!

It’s funny, because the Vette went from “pretty cool car that I actually have a small desire to own someday” to “really awesome car that I want to try, but have no desire to own.” I just don’t see myself being happy living without a stick. Maybe if I bought a Miata on the side and a C8 Vette I could live with it, but…
