I had a best friend in high school who orchestrated this big reveal date night thing with my friends and sprung it on me as a surprise. It was awful, and it mostly ruined our friendship.
I can think of almost every single Christian friend tweeting/posting on facebook things like 'Despite my shitty, shitty life, I choose to be happy today'
She looks AMAZING for 101.
You were correct.
Lolo Jones is African American, French, Native American, and Norwegian. She's definitely privileged, but I'm not sure you can simply call her "white."
All valid points. I appreciate the response.
No, you're misunderstanding me. I'm not saying white people are the real victims here, and I'm certainly not denying that black folks face discrimination/harassment and longer prison sentences. I just think that the mockery of Rachel Jeantel stems from her ignorance and size, not her race. That was my only point.
People would be making just as much fun of her if she was white. The only difference is that the mockery wouldn't just be limited to the internet; Jon Stewart would be mocking her on The Daily Show.
Don't you see any irony in the fact that you (a white person) are dictating what black people are and aren't capable of?
You're saying the comparison to Precious is inherently racist. I'm saying that if she was a fat white woman, people would be comparing her to Adele or Melissa McCarthy (or Chris Farley, if she was really ugly). If you're in the spotlight and you're fat, people are going to mock you on Twitter, regardless of your race.…
If she was a fat white woman and people called her "Adele," would that be racist?
She brags about driving drunk on Twitter. That's stupid in any language.
It's not a racist thing, it's a black thing that white people suddenly love.
Well, I disagree. Mama June and her family deserved every bit of mockery that came their way, and so does Rachel Jeantel. Stupid people deserve to be mocked.
Racism can come from anyone, idiot.
Well, are you?
How old are you? Serious question. I've been reading your ignorant posts for a while now and I'm convinced you're no older than 25, at max. It's cute how you hope "people" will riot, yet you clearly don't plan to lift a finger or light a match yourself.
