As for Earth Final Conflict they seemed to be desperately trying to be Joss Whedon.

You’re dead on regarding Sorbo’s control. Season 1 was a little cheesy, but it was fairly good - dare I say great at times. There was so much potential, and little by little they just ruined it.

The only people who care are fans of SG1 and it’s related shows. Nobody gives a shit about the original vision. We want to see where our characters end up.
