I didn't read your posts outside these. What I wrote was based on what I read, and what I read contained a LOT of hostility regarding this subject. I understand now that you didn't intend to project that onto fans of the show, but that's the impression I got reading these posts.

When ghosts of past and future crowd into their lives, the Doctor and Clara are thrown into an adventure that takes them to the very end of the universe.

You're asking someone not to be 'that guy' but you have to admit you were openly hostile to the material and calling for a shred of decency, implying that those of us looking forward to the show are indecent.

So here's what we know with minor spoilers.

I still enjoyed the episode for the humor.

While it's great to see realistic science on screen, it doesn't really make for good escapist fun. The key is to be able to identify the junk science and enjoy it for what it is without pretending its real.
