Having dual Doctors available just makes it seem like The Beeb isn’t committing to Ncuti Gatwa. If they want to keep doing multi-Doctor crossovers, they already had time travel as an option. How can we miss Tennant if he won’t go away?

As an on and off casual fan of Doctor Who, this anniversary is doing exactly what it needed to do: making me watch Dr. Who. Not just the new specials, but since the anniversary, a Dr. Who is now available like never before where I am (Canada)

I didn’t realize he had filmed any scenes for the special (I thought he had passed before filming), so what a treat it was to see him at the end of the episode. Wilf is one of the absolute best characters to come out of Nu Who, and it was such a joy to have one final moment with him. RIP Bernard Cribbins.

It was nice to see a trans actress get a big part (I presume she’s going to be a companion going forward? I’ve tried to avoid reading too much news about the new series) without any real fuss being made over it by anyone in the run-up (that I’ve noticed, anyway).

The voices are missing that 3-packs-a-day smoking habit phlegmy quaver that they used to have.

I wish that “What’s New” on streaming services meant “What newly made stuff” instead of “What mix of new stuff plus a ton of old crap from a decade ago”.  

Nope was fantastic.

Up there with Nope and Top Gun for the kind of populist releases I don’t feel like we see enough anymore. Flawed in parts, but pretty spectacular. I had a great time in the theater, Cameron is hard to beat in terms of action sequences.
