I reread Stewart's Earth Abides recently. The book starts of in the 1940's and I was amused after doing some math that the final scenes in the book take place in what would be the 1980's, but with the rusted remains of the 1940's still sitting around.

MIXING SCIFI AND VENTRILOQUISM: Achmed the Undead Terrorist uses a pair of Mars Attacks! eyes. It's true - Jeff talks about it in his autobiography All By Myselves.

Wingsuit=parachute.

I'm imagining Moonlight Sonata is being played by Saturn's rings as a record - the giant arm and needle is on the other side of the planet.

I only watched the trailer. Looks interesting, I'll watch it. When does it premiere?

Agreed.

Bullshit science does not a bad series make. LOST's science was wonky, but it was very popular. I'll give this one a shot.

Sometimes my Android phone won't allow me to scroll down the mobile pages from io9. this was one of them - I'm assuming it's due to the multiple videos.

A very valid point.

I used to wish I had an overlay in my glasses when I was in school, back in the late 80's.
