Maybe she mistook the drowsy eye, alcohol warning for a winking eye alcohol suggestion?

It’s so true. I am atheist but raised Catholic and I have found saying you are atheist makes them try harder. But saying you are Catholic, everyone (Evangelicals, Mormons, etc) just basically give up immediately, so as soon as anyone tries to get me to go to church with them, I just say I’m Catholic.

We had a talking parrot when I was a kid and they are so incredibly smart. He would yell “shut the door” whenever anyone left the house and learned to count in English and Spanish from watching Sesame Street with me. His language skills were incredible and he actually adapted and learned. My mom hated him and always

I am currently being forced to answer phones all day at work, and this happened a couple of weeks ago:

I showed this story to my wife.

I had to read that headline multiple times to comprehend it. I don’t even want to say where my mind was heading.

I know that we (the older commenters) are ageing out, but I miss Dodai, Lindy, and that bunch. The new night/weekend bloggers aren’t as promising.

Google is your friend.

It always gives me pause that the people who claim the best of a singular race are always the worst example of it. Take a hard look at this supposed superior being.

Lynchburg, Virginia.

I know what the butt is.

True, but the idea that most women (esp. the ones with racks) are thrilled to throw on a Hanes t-shirt is disingenuous at best. A decent top, maybe even with a slightly distracting print, is a godsend to many of us.

THANK YOU...this is such a bizarre thing about which to get your knickers in a twist. Upthread there are people bitching about the “awfulness” of embellished camisoles worn with velvet jackets, etc.

I agree. I think that the jeans and a plain t shirt looks kind of sloppy on me. I see these gorgeous model types who make it look elegant but...I just can’t pull it off.

As someone who was in college in ‘00, I am pretty sure that “going out tops” were not paired with jeans, but rather with skintight, black, boot-cut pants with a zipper in the back. (At least they were in my neck of the woods.) I guess denim made a resurgence a few years later, but please let’s not bring that look

Lol “jeans and a nice top” has been my going-out go-to for decades now and YOU WILL NOT TAKE THAT FROM ME!!!!

So his first instinct was to pull out. It’s just a shame that his father didn’t have that same instinct about 72 years ago.

Good grief.

So let me get this straight. Calvin Klein thought that getting breast implants was unhealthy and sent a wrong message, so instead he hired a woman (an admittedly beautiful woman and talented model) who inspired millions of young women to become anorexic. Thanks for your efforts CK. Douche.

I’m so old, I predate the popularity of the Spice Girls and I’m confused by all their references to tea. Do they need a cup?
