I just spent 6 months in south florida for work, and I ubered everywhere because while there was a bus system, and presumably taxis, the buses ran infrequently and the taxis are no where to be seen. In a city like new york? totally possible to get around by taxi, bus, and subway. Fort lauderdale? not so much.
