What?!?! The next thing you'll tell me is that a supermarket is responsible for damage to my vehicle caused by their property (shopping carts) while I am conduction business on their property!

A little dab will do ya!

They're using the common, not electrical, usage of the word "power".

I don't know what you're supposed to do with it, but making the park in which it's built completely useless to anyone with bare feet for the next thousand years is what's going to happen.

Boy Scouts earn Merit Badges. Cubs earn Belt Loops and Pins.

More importantly, if your robot breaks one of the Three Laws of Robotics, does it have to tear off a corner of the card itself?

Until the iPad2, we were happily Apple-free (after happily trading my jailbroken iPhone for a G1 when they came out). Regardless of how many hiveminds you may know, the homes that have AV setups requiring a master remote easily outnumber the households with iOS devices.

Leaving the house with the "Master" remote defeats the purpose, doesn't it?

Doesn't switching back to the hodge-podge of remotes completely defeat the purpose of a master remote?

Seriously?

I take issue with the stated opinion that the Harmony is so damned difficult to program and use and that Peel is somehow better or cheaper.

The Commodore 128 may not have much software written for it, but it could run the hell out of CNet 128 BBS software!

The choice for my parents, based solely on the fact that I could use my existing cassette recorder with it. Unfortunately, it was too well used to "data quality".

Seriously? "Harmony remotes, although incredibly competent in controlling everything in your AV system, practically begs for a community college class teaching people how to use it."

Yeah, not being able to scroll to the bottom of the list without selecting whatever city was last under your finger? Freaking annoying.

I finally broke down and joined Twitter so that I could keep up with the food trucks in Vegas.

The committee to which you refer would be much cheaper than outfitting every commercial aircraft with another piece of electronic control that has to be designed, tested, documented, re-designed, re-tested, implemented....

This is already illegal in Las Vegas. It's called "Off Premises Advertising" and is forbidden by city codes.
