Did you think to pop the roof off above your head?

The doors can be confusing but what about the removable roof? If you owned the car would you not think to just pop off the roof above your head for some fresh air?

He probably didn’t have the strength, it is very hard to break a car window without a hard point. Those Vette side windows are frameless too so they are pretty strong.

Between that and the removable roof panel, there’s no reason he couldn’t have escaped. You release the front two latches, and then the single rear. You can then push the roof panel off the car, they probably don’t even weigh 25 pounds.

Note, lever on the floor. Poor guy shouldn’t have died in such a manner.

I know huh,

That’s me. Dingus Maximus

I remember the STI being pretty bad for MPGs (2015 17/23 MPG) along with the other turbo Subies. I don’t think any 2015 six cylinders can pull off 30 MPG which is still pretty lame. The Subie-yota isn’t bad at 25/34MPG.

The 1 liter Ecoboost would be lighter, smoother, and have a whole lot more power while still getting better mileage. The EB would be more enjoyable to drive and create an additional market for people who enjoy driving/riding, rather than those that are just worried about keeping up with traffic.

For the person who buys a new car to use for four to five years, it probably wouldn’t be an issue. My Jalop brain is wired for good long-term vehicles that can be had with significant depreciation. A low depreciating vehicle with future head gasket issues does not make my list of attractive vehicles.

I don’t understand it, low power, poor fuel mileage, and leaky head gaskets motivate me to stay away.

I wanted one for the same reasons as a kid. I still think it would make for an awesome camper anywhere you wanted to go.

Would you spend $30K on your Sentra? - No, you would buy more M Machines or other nice/fast machines like other people our age. The 12-year-old daughter isn’t going to spend $30K on anything soon.

Exposed pulleys are scary or what?

It wont be small/light for Auto X. The summer tires will prevent year round driving. With such a fast ring time the suspension is probably too stiff for comfortable commuting. It’s already at 300 FWHP so modding it won’t be much fun without drag slicks.

Stupid Beemer stole my glove!

After riding my bike for a full year of commuting I decided to sell the street bike for a dual sport. There are just too many people who don’t see you.

Some of us were adding turbos to their mom’s Civics back in 1997. To me F&F was a entertaining joke when it came out in 2001. We quickly moved on to STIs, german sedans, rat rods, Jeeps, muscle cars, back to GTRs, Vette’s, GT500s, ZL1s, CTS-Vs, etc...
