I bought my kids one 8 years ago, I have ridden it just as much as them. It even survived a garage fire. I added new parts to replace the melted ones and it’s still awesome.

They are wonderful in concert, one my favorite bands to see live.

If you want a good illustration of solid fuel rocket robustness, watch the Challenger’s boosters keep flying after the shuttle and main tank had blown up. NASA had to send a self-destruct command to those monsters.

Solid fuel rockets don’t require propellant-fueled turbo pumps or really any plumbing or liquid at all. They are much less likely to blow up at launch.


The 2017 Ecboost will be a sweet engine fixing most of the current motor’s issues. How much power can they make with integrated exhaust manifolds and anti-lag small turbos?
