I really want to be excited about tablet/phone gaming, but this game basically represents all of the reasons why it sucks right now and will continue to suck for the foreseeable future. So many reviews gushed about this game being a successful realization of "console-quality" (whatever that means) tablet gaming, and

Mail In Rebate.

What about the comically, embarrassingly bad search algorithm? They say anything about fixing that? Would really love being able to search for a popular song without having to wade through the 53 karaoke versions that inexplicably come up ahead of the original.

Happy to see Persona 4 mentioned here. After reading over and over again how well and fearlessly P4 handles gender and sexuality, I'm playing Persona 4 Golden now and I have to say I'm pretty flabbergasted at how completely tone-deaf and often offensive the game is when handling these issues.

Can't take this list seriously without Dark Souls.

There is an instruction manual, just not a physical one. You can access it from the launcher screen when you open the app on your Vita.

Who are you people who come to Gizmodo—of all places—looking for VERY SERIOUS JOURNALISM and staid, humorless copy? Go be boring on CNET if you hate the writing so much.

I'm not really understanding all the nerd wailing and gnashing of teeth over Windows 8. I installed the week it came out, and so far it's basically exactly like windows 7 but faster, better looking, and with a smarter start menu that is different but took maybe half an hour to get used to. Not single compatibility

Seriously, what is this even supposed to mean?

Yeah, just snapped up the Amazon deal. Always nice to have these things lying around on disc. Thanks for posting!

Can you (or anyone) confirm whether or not that deal applies to home-built PCs running Windows 7 OEM? Or does it only apply to PCs purchased with Windows 7 preinstalled? It's entirely possible that I'm just dumb, but I haven't been able to figure this out.

He's quite obviously saying that Apple moves the equivalent of the price of a Porsche by selling lots of little $500 packages every minute.

I know you guys are really XXXTREME but do you have any plans to make frames that won't make me look like I bought them in the throes of a midlife crisis as part of a package that also included a red '96 Mustang and hair plugs?

Yes, playing games absolutely is as acceptable a hobby as reading books or watching films, but you don't see people defining themselves as "readers" or "watchers" to the rabid extent that self-described "gamers" do. Everyone plays games. Without exception, the only people I've met who feel the need to describe

But does the iPad version of the music app still look like a hideous, wood-paneled jukebox designed by a WinAmp skinner in 2000?

I really don't see why this is such a big deal. I've had multiple iPhones and iPods and I always just use standard TRS connectors for everything. So, so much cheaper and they work with all of my gadgets (and all of my friends', too).

Actually, weirdly, the only Galaxes Notes I've seen in public were, to a person, being used by teeny tiny women with teeny tiny hands. It's like watching a normal-sized person use an iPad as a phone. WHYYYYYYY

Most interns are college students . . . most internships run on semester schedules . . . most semesters are in the neighborhood of 4 months long . . . Gizmodo tends to post openings for interns every four months or so . . . maybe . . . nah, must be a coincidence.

Like it or not, iPhone was the first phone to do capacitative touch right. It was the prototypical modern smartphone. I have a GNex too, and I love it, but I don't kid myself that it would exist if the iPhone hadn't come out five years ago.

Diablo 3 lag death: ugh. Finished my first normal playthrough last night with a hardcore witch doctor. Started nightmare today and was feeling pretty good, trying to play defensively, blah blah blah. Ran into a pack of elite skeletons in royal crypts, things got hot and heavy, popped spirit walk and . . . latency
