Probably wrapping up Dead Space 2 then possibly starting the copy of FFXII I picked up this week. I bought it new when it came out but left for a semester abroad before I could finish...came back home and never got back into it. I figure it's worth another shot since it's the only FF that ever grabbed me in any way...

@etchasketchist: I'm not shocked or confused that people who are used to cable aren't excited about replacing it with Xboxes and Rokus and whatevers—that part I completely understand.

There is absolutely nothing worse than these fucking shoes. Seriously, Crocs, Uggs, flip-flops—every other footwear atrocity out there pales in comparison to these things.

I have honestly never considered the possibility that people pay for cable because they don't want to have to choose what to watch.

You know, there are times when a weird part of me actually really misses Krazy Ken.

@jp182: That's very noble of them, but licensing is kind of all they have going for them. When's the last time id made a really, actually good game?

God, the ground texture in that crossbow shot looks awful. I remember being pretty blown away by this engine when they first announced the game, but it's been SO LONG since then that it's starting to look pretty average.

@cmdtacos: Did I come anywhere even remotely close to suggesting that Lagi doesn't speak English?

@Lagi: Uh, are you not from the United States? 'Cause I'm pretty sure those are both acronyms that just about any American should recognize.

@spiderweb1986: You said it. This ad has been making the rounds on gaming blogs and I am so confused by the accolades it's getting from writers and commenters.

I hereby declare an industry-wide moratorium on all gratuitously-hyphenated titles including the words retribution, redemption, rising, and reloaded. If your sequel already has a number in its title, it already contains enough words.

Do we know if there's a reason why they chose to add that "e" to the end of "Noir?"

@amaraklov: I guess what I'm actually saying is that when I get owned online I'd like to believe it's because the people I'm playing with are good and not because they're all cheating. I guess I just discovered that I'm actually a glass half full person?

@Diablo_Darkfire: My comments contributed to the discussion. Did yours?

@amaraklov: LOL, u mad? I get the sense someone has had some less-than-stellar multiplayer experiences.

Cheap tactics are only cheap if they're glitches or exploits, and even then there's a (probably valid) argument that they're legitimate because of their inclusion in the game.

@Kovitlac: I think the comparison is totally apt as long as it's qualified that we're saying it's a Resident Evil 4 clone, at least in terms of mechanics. Over-the-shoulder shooting, flashlight (i.e. laser sight) aiming, tacked-on exploration and puzzles—gameplay wise, the two titles have an awful lot in common.

@dowingba: I don't own a Wii, but I do have a Panasonic TV, and now wish I'd done a little more research before I bought it.

Came to the comments section hoping to find staggeringly myopic worldviews, psychotic libertarianism, uninformed arguments, and defensive hyperbole. Did not leave disappointed.
