It was such a great title for the time. I still have my CDs for it. I played it when I was home sick for a bit and it was really engrossing.

You’re conflating “renegade” with bad guy. It’s absolutely being a renegade to punch someone in the face for being a reporter.

They grasp it entirely. I’m not sure you understand what you’re talking about when somehow in a market we’re supposed to expect that marketing exists outside the product being made. That’s such a weird and silly request.

The whole point of neoliberalism has been to intertwine money with everything, and that means free speech primarily or as well. Either way, it’s wrapped up in the whole idea. You therefore cannot make any sort of statement that isn’t political or any sort of political statement that doesn’t affect anything else. He’s

I read the same article but there are issues with their prediction. They based their claim on money; Microsoft is making money due to streaming services and games as a service. They’re making money off games that people pump money into and not necessarily flagship titles. These titles are being combined with PC gaming

For me this depends on the extent. If you use someone’s property to basically make your own game, it seems to make sense that it would belong to said company whose work you benefited from. I wouldn’t say they would own it completely but it’s fairly weird to think that Blizzard wouldn’t have some creative ownership of

At least in your case you can just take off “the”.

Like the GOP.

Ew.

Hated a bit too much for a video game but still in the right. Kind of. The game couldn’t live up to expectations set even last generation. Or the one before that. The game wouldn’t stand on its own.

I wonder if they’ll solve the biggest mystery of all: why was the highway toward the end of Midgar’s chapter just leading right to the edge of Midgar? Who builds a highway like that? And where was it supposed to go. You literally just drop straight down and it’s clear in the background that there aren’t any other

You don’t see him on the highway leading out of Midgar. The highway that somehow ridiculously goes right to the end of Midgar and sort of stops, with a lane coming in the other direction, and no indication they were building one to the outside world. Despite that making more sense than anything.

Why does it look like 7th Heaven bar is under attack by Harry Potter Dementors? That sure as shit never happened.

I don’t see how it would. If anything it’s more in tune with it. Barret isn’t out to commit Al-Qaeda level atrocities, but the beginning of the game pretty much does something like that. Especially when you look at them just being blamed for the plate falling and all the other destruction. In any other setting they

It shouldn’t be. It’s far more out of character for any of those 5 in AVALANCHE to just destroy a giant reactor and set off events on par with 9/11 for their world than to set one bomb, probably somewhat effectively, that would target the reactor and that’s it. The game wanted AVALANCHE to be a lot of things but they

If we take a step back, the original makes even less sense. They blow up a giant reactor and get sad about all the deaths that they should have known were coming, but there wasn’t a lot of dialogue for this. That’s something you’d spend weeks if not months getting over. This would effectively make them extremists,

Seems more like a call to make the games better, not make the experience meta-cognizant about how shit it is.

I’m a huge fan of the game but that angle is only being played up because it’s so rare. Criticizing or defending capitalism are both similar things we’re used to. The game also does a good job of doing those two things as well. They’ve simply also tacked on a lot of criticism and defense of communism as well on the

You’re not very familiar with their game, are you? They lampoon communism almost as much as capitalism. They let you choose to be pro-capitalist, anti-racist or to accept race supremacy and any sort of combination.

Have you played Disco Elysium? I feel like you might really enjoy it, or at least have the most to say about it.
