If you want real then why do you want the whole bender story?  That’s just gritty, 70s cop shit.  The “didn’t get a call I was expecting” thing is far more believable, and it’s something I can relate to more.  If my GF broke up with me I wouldn’t get smashed at a bar the night before I knew it was my first day on the

That’s way better and more relatable. I played RE2 when it first came out. I read the manual and everything. I’ve loved it for years and have beaten it many times.

I agree.  Remove the dots.  But don’t take away PVP.

If my mother can’t do it without instruction, then it can’t be describe as taking “virtually no skill”.

very easy to hack, in case you’re tech savvy.

Lol.  “Don’t think critically or too hard about grown adults who fantasize over a children’s cartoon in an unhealthy manner.”

I can’t stand his shit either but aren’t early models typically this way?  Didn’t people shit on the idea of cars to begin with, and airplanes, and almost everything else because it didn’t work immediately?

The problem is that you don’t know what exists in every nook and cranny and game developers reward players just enough to keep them going. Intermittent, positive reinforcement does that pretty hard.

Right, which is bad. You shouldn’t be flagging yourself to participate. It should be automatic.

Right, and single player is PvE since you’re a player against what we’ve termed “the environment”.  It being single-player doesn’t change that.  Same way some games are primarily PvP.

You assume I can’t comprehend it. I can. I disagree with it and am arguing against it. I believe it’s a bad thing to ask for. The game has random, roving gangs going after you. The world is full of danger. Adding players doesn’t change that. What they should do is take people off the map.  That never made sense.  But

What do you think edgy means?

I can. The game was built on two factions being at war. PvP-areas should never have existed.  Look up <The Red Dawn> as well.  PvE cut out content since PvP was not separated from the game.  You could raid MC and still use the gear in PvP, and being on PvP didn’t stop you from doing anything else.  Being camped wasn’t

You mean the a-hole playing a game wherein you’re an outlaw with a gun who can kill people?

Personal satisfaction and gratification, for one. I’ve always customized characters no one would ever see. I would agree with your point in some games like WoW where transmog has ruined part of the experience but I never felt like customizing a single-player story character had to beget more features.  I think that’s

I’m not ignoring it, it’s just not worth pursuing.

Isn’t single player the PVE?

Makes me want to count how many my parents send me in text messages throughout a year. “I love you” becomes “I love you...” and it’s just weird.

One question: what happens if you don’t die? I understand that’s implausible now but as someone plays it more and more, how will their playthroughs be affected if dying is integral to it? Or will players decide when they need to die in order to maximize efficiency.

When did it become good?
