You can’t get rid of meta.  You’re asking people to play a game but not pay attention to it.

Which is an illusion of content updates.  As another user pointed out, shifting the meta just to do so via balance updates is a cheap way to make it seem like your game is fresh.  It leaves no real room for players to decide what the meta is and adapt.
