Personally, I think Land Rover really dropped the ball on the styling of the new Defender.

I’m honestly more excited for this because, at 174.8" (4" longer than a Honda HR-V) it’s a compact 2021 MY vehicle (in any class) with only 2 doors not made by Chrysler or the Germans.

I can’t figure out if the Sport looks like an inexpensive Land Rover crossover or an expensive Aztek.

I drive a wagon, lust after ‘80s-’90s Japanese sports cars and German luxury whatever, and am decidedly Not A Truck Guy, but this thing looks and sounds like it will be badass.

Not my kind of vehicle, but it looks really cool especially in that 2 door form. Like it more than the JL

I just showed this to my gf and suggested that we might have to trade in our pro-4x and get one. Not because we need it but holy shit this looks good.

I’m even impressed with the Sport’s packaging. The 110 plug in the back, seat back straps for carabinered gear, the 8.8 in ground clearance.

Well spank me silly and call me Sandy, I am impressed Ford, good job!

I mean Id buy the shit out of this over a Wrangler. I love it. Its excellent.

Hey, Land Rover, this is what you were supposed to do with the Defender.

I read the forum posts by Hennessey from years ago where he bashed some of people who were pissed that he sold major engine parts from their Vipers to finance other projects. It amazes me that anyone would let that guy even touch their car, especially after some of them had to fight for over a year just to get it back.

yep, sounds ‘off’ to me. the guy sent his s4 to a performance shop for ‘upgrades’, of which there are few trustworthy shops anymore. he’s obviously an enthusiast of some degree, which means he knows other enthusiasts.

It would seem that if they broke the law with your property they would lose that case in court. I signed saying you could modify my property, not violate traffic laws (or any laws) with it.

Wait, an Audi made a quick u-turn without understeering into the opposite curb?

John Hennessey has been ripping people off for decades. There will always be too many idiots with money.

This is what insurance companies do. Pay for the damages up front then take the guilty party to court and subrogate the damages to recoup their loses.

I don’t buy it. If you put your property in the care of someone else, in the law its called a bailment, the bailee is required to exercise a minimum amount of care at the very least. Driving the car in a manor that violates the law would seem to violate the duty of minimum care. But then again, I don’t know if the

I’m guessing they didn’t expect the customer to call the local news station? They’re idiots.

This is seriously bad business for them. They may get out of fixing this car, but what good will that do if they enrage their customer base and go bankrupt if customers decide to take their business elsewhere? I hope it was worth it.

I made a conscious decision to buy one after that video, I’ve wanted one for years, bought one after seeing that video.
