I was never using cash for years before I even started using mint. There are a ton of advantages to using cards, especially credit. But if you prefer cash, then yeah Mint will be more difficult to take advantage of.

Locking your phone in some way is very important, and “it’s too inconvenient” is not a valid argument anymore. Its a little disheartening to see more than a quarter of people still saying they don’t lock their devices. Android has pattern locks, which have been around for a while and on their own pretty much negate

Tracking it no longer involves “a fair bit of math”. I have a very difficult, complex three step system that I use to track every single expense and keep them all organized in categories so I can easily keep an eye on my spending. I actually devised this system based on some tips from Lifehacker.

Okay, those sound like some nice improvements. So would it be fair to say it's like Vibrate 2.0, instead of saying it's some crazy new thing?

I would never get up without my phone. Although I guess if the watch allowed me to still get notifications, maybe I would feel a little more comfortable doing that.

Huh, that is weird then. Who knows.

Phone vibrate is more “violent”, for lack of a better word, out of necessity. It’s not directly on your skin so more motion is needed for it to be noticed. My Pebble and my Moto 360 both vibrate much more subtly than my phone. How are these taptic alerts different from the way those other watches vibrate?

I’m still confused as to how this is any different than the haptic feedback we’ve had for many years. When I tap an on screen button, my phone vibrates. I have it turned off in my keyboard, but when I finish typing this, and then hit Home or Back to leave this Web page, my phone will “communicate” with me in this

Prenups are an interesting topic to look at socially. The “default” seems to be no prenup, so if one suggests the partner might respond with “why? Don’t you believe our marriage will last and it won’t matter?”

I had a professor at college who wrote emails like that. It was abhorrent. It made viewing him as a respectable, intelligent adult difficult, which undermined his teaching. It made it harder to trust that he knew what he was talking about.

Cool, thanks for the info! I wonder if that’s part if why they went with that one then. When the 360 came out, a lot people thought it was a bad decision because it’s an older processor that won’t perform as fast and will use a bit more battery than some newer things. But I see a lot of no’s for Wifi in the chart

This all sounds about right. The watch is overall pretty average, but at a much higher price tag because Apple. The app support is indeed a benefit they have though. Hopefully we’ll see better app support for Android Wear in the future. Android Wear has the potential advantage their, since there are no restrictions on

Thank you for writing these. This way I get to get a laugh out of how stupid this show is, without watching it and actually supporting such a preposterous series.

I thought one of the selling points of Apple products was that they are simple and easy to use. Why does it have this complex 100 page manual, that this post describes as “almost requires reading”?

They didn't need to. Android Wear us easy to use, there's no need for a 100 page user guide.

Stupid turtle...

Oh really? Interesting. Mine are still completely seperate, though I should mention I don't have an actual Google Voice number, I just set it up for voicemails functionality on my existing Verizon number.

If I get project Fi, will my phone constantly say things like “master, I calculate an 85% chance you will make it to work on time today”

Personally I’m interested to see what this means for Google Voice. Presumably that’s the system they’ll use for voicemails. But it also sounds like Fi integrates heavily with Hangouts, ttheir site mentions using your number for texts and calls on tablets and computers too, specifically “any device that supports

I’m not denying that you have issues on your phone. And I have no particular love for Verizon, I just disabled their evil super-cookie thing a couple weeks ago. I’m just saying I think you’re placing the blame on the wrong entity, since Verizon does not make the OS on your phone. I did a quick Google search, and found
