It’s not putting me personally at risk, but it does put other people at risk. Herd immunity is very important. If literally every single person on the planet were vaccinated, and one person didn’t vaccinate, then they would only be putting themselves at risk. But there are other people who are not vaccinated, and I

This sort of stuff just makes me so angry. How can a “personal believe exemption” exist for something when that puts others at risk. If you want to do something stupid and put yourself at risk, fine. But this isn’t just about yourself. It’s like if someone said they didn’t “believe” that driving drunk was dangerous.

Ah, I haven't heard of that happening, but I can't say I'm surprised. Definitely sounds like a good idea to still keep restaurant receipts then, at least until the transaction is no longer "pending" and has actually gone through a couple days later with the full amount.

Honestly I don’t understand how the game got released without this feature. How did they not realize how awful the long enemy turns were? I thought the game sounded neat and tried the demo before the game was released. I was enjoying the actual game play a bit, but didn’t even finish the demo because it was driving me

Well for the occasional small purchase there's nothing wrong with just using cash and not tracking it, like I would do with the soda from a vending machine example in my original article. But if you make enough small purchases, it can add up to a meaningful amount even if each one individually is small. It would be a

From the Gizmodo intro: “battery can make it through the average day, if only just barely”. I typically have more than 50% left at the end of the day on my Moto 360.

It can be faster at times, especially anywhere that involves a tip because that generally means you just set it and leave, no need for change because that's part of the tip.

Their “the best available” comments don’t make any sense in the context of the rest of their reviews. They mention limitations that make it sound like a far inferior product to the Moto 360 I have on my wrist right now. I agree with Tad, I think they’re just saying that part because, as he said, the need to “get on

Yeah that’s what most of these sound like to me. And their “best on the market” comments dont make sense alongside all the downsides they mention, since based on these descriptions it sounds like my Moto 360 is much better (and at a lower price, and likely getting a new version in the near-ish future).

Some great tips here! My tip for dealing with cash transactions is just don't use cash. Rather than manually add g the transactions and everything, or manually splitting the "cash and atm" withdrawal, just don't use cash in the first place. Cash doesn't get rewards points, cash can be stolen, cash takes longer. There

Luckily I won’t be wearing a $2000 suit! Yeah I think you’re right that just glancing at my wrist won’t be too conspicuous. As you and ARP2 pointed out, as long as I’m not really focused on it, it will probably actually draw less attention then pulling out my phone would, so wearing it might actually help make me less

That’s a good point. I obviously have to bring my phone, and looking at a watch is probably less conspicuous than pulling out an expensive smartphone.

Does a Moto 360 count as “flashy stuff”? To me it implies that I probably have a nice smartphone too, and those things combined imply I might have some cash in my pocket as well. But to someone who doesn’t know a lot about smartwatches, they may just see a watch and for all they know it’s worth $10.

I do have Lollipop (2014 Moto X) and the adaptive brightness is quite good 99% of the time. The only time I mess with the slider in the notification shade, is when I’m in pitch black, like as I’m getting in bed at night. At that point, I’ll often turn the brightness all the way down and wish I could go lower, which is

Hopefully on that new Moto 360, “better screen” means amoled. Seems like a pretty obvious way to allow always on without killing battery life. Considering the great use of amoled in the Moto X phone, I can’t believe they even put out a Smartwatch without amoled in the first place.

Yeah 1080 is ridiculous enough, but now qHD and beyond? It’s maybe useful in a Samsung phone if you get the gear VR, by for everyone else, it’s just stupidly unnecessary.

Could be useful at night too, less pixels means less blue light, but this would (presumably) preserve the color of what you're looking at better than other apps that shift the display towards red. I'll definitely check out this app.

If it doesn’t come out in the states, I will probably cry.

So really there’s two versions, not four. They just found a creative way to do the download version without splitting it. And the special edition is just a combo.

When I was young, I thought this holiday was stupid. Now it’s probably my favorite holiday. I’m actually more excited for today, than I am for tomorrow (tomorrow is my birthday). I lost it laughing last night when I saw Smart box, specifically the part of the video where they say the full name: Smartbox by Inbox by
